Theyellowbox Posted yesterday at 10:22 Share Posted yesterday at 10:22 (edited) Doubt saints will be going for McGlynn regardless, but if we wanted to, we could easily just go and get him. I dare say at his age and given how precarious football management can be and has been for him, he might take the view of better the devil you know. But if you have a straight choice between managing a potential championship winning side vs a potential relegation candidate based on where each club sits in September, then on paper it is a no brainer. Falkirk will not run away with this league in the way Utd and Dundee have done in recent years. Aside from the standard 3 year deals we give to every manager it seems, he would be stepping into a club who is going through a bit of a revamp top to bottom and I'd imagine any manager would back themselves to keep us up. Can argue the toss about what an extra 1k fans might bring or not, but the finances at Saints have and will have, piss all over Falkirks even if in the same league. Irrelevant though as he won't be the next saints manager anyway. Edited yesterday at 10:24 by Theyellowbox -

Musketeer Gripweed Posted yesterday at 10:31 Share Posted yesterday at 10:31 Good to see our fans mixing with the big boys St Johnstone fans and not Kelty fans these days.

Would be a good time to poach Derek Adams. It's even better than that, they rock bottom of League 2! Now Scott Gardiner seems to be out of being a Chief Executive it seems like a good time for him to transition into a new career, as a football manager.
Savage Henry Posted yesterday at 11:40 Share Posted yesterday at 11:40 Unless he really doesn’t want it, surely Alex Cleland must be in with a shout? Not the most glamorous appointment, but one which causes the least possible upheaval. *Checks the BBC’s Speak Your Brains section to see the lay of the land… yikes*
Iain Posted yesterday at 11:47 Share Posted yesterday at 11:47 Surely Martin Canning's experience of winning tough relegation battles makes him the ideal candidate?

Widge Posted yesterday at 12:52 Share Posted yesterday at 12:52 Hang on Falkirk fans are bad enough, but why the f**k are we being subjected to even bigger "no mark" Ayr fans right now!?

Irosshed and I was wrong Posted yesterday at 13:55 Share Posted yesterday at 13:55 Hope it's Ian Murray because he's a good charver. Also hope it's John McGlynn because it would be some laugh.

Yeah, I like McBookie but the early odds are generally just names he can think of.
