Saw this shared on one of the Dundee Facebook pages, apologies that it’s the daily record or if it’s been discussed elsewhere. 

If the figures in here are correct then it’s even more ridiculous than I first thought. 
 

Celtics squad assembled for a mere 138 times what our squad is worth and more than double everyone else combined including the buns. 
 

Will they manage to fight off the giants of Aberdeen for a historic title victory this year? It really is edge of the seat stuff.

The article is probably correct that Celtics spends are huge, but I rather think they have just made up most of the figures.

It suggests that we paid 300k for Billy Koumetio. That deal will have 1001 clauses attached to it but not a chance have we paid 300k for him.

Aye, United paid £850k for VDS and Odada, so they did.  Divide it by ten and it’s still an overestimate. 
 

It’s a silly article really, it’s the ability to pay wages that’s surely just as important as buying out contracts elsewhere.

Aye, it's always a bit of guess work with these things. The only real source that is going to be accurate will be the annual accounts and I'm sure it was mentioned a couple of weeks ago that Celtic had spent £100m on transfers in the last 3 financial years (plus their spend this summer) according to them.

Just poor research for someone claiming to be a journo. It is correct we paid for Ap Stam (reported £350k or there abouts) and there was a fee paid for Slattery. However, we also paid over 100k for Kofi Balmer this past summer and it was covered well in the press.

As pointed out already it's all about the wage pot available and two starters at the one of the OF will total more than five teams weekly full squad total ..... Well maybe not Sevco, but definitely Celtic.
