jmothecat
Enjoyable day and well poised. I would say England just have the advantage but it is certainly close.
mjw
Wicket in the first over for Broad. Get Duminy cheaply and England must be favourites.
Savage Henry
Ali and Broad causing all sorts of problems for SA. 156/7 now.
Bearwithme
100 for Elgar. Very well played. SA 184 for 7.
jmothecat
All out for 214. Decent lead for England. Great innings by Elgar.
Savage Henry
Very impressive by England. Last six wickets for 77 runs.
Savage Henry
And that's Dale Stein off for a scan on his shoulder. Everything's coming up Milhouse.
booitsme7
Steyn come back on but only last 3 balls before he is back off again as he is in too much pain. England currently 40-1 after 22 overs losing only the wicket of Cook.
peasy23
Going to be a very hard shift for Morkel and Abbott.
Savage Henry
Going to be a very hard shift for Morkel and Abbott. Morkel and Abbott sounds like a 1950s variety act.
booitsme7
Piedt gets his 2nd wicket of the innings getting Hales. 48-2
booitsme7
England 58-2 at tea leading by 147. Sa could have had a few more wickets.
peasy23
2 big let offs for England with Compton and Root both dropped behind the stumps. 58-2 at tea, lead by 147.

jmothecat
Looking good for England. Inevitable 'when will they declare' conversation tomorrow.
peasy23
Only one winner from here imo, England possibly have enough of a lead already. Try and add another 80-90 runs tomorrow to get to 350 and they should still have 5 sessions or so to get SA out.

I'd look for maybe 100 more than that.
jmothecat
A lead of 350 will be more than enough.
Bearwithme
Not a great morning for England so far with Root, Stokes and Taylor all going. But they're still in a very strong position.
peasy23
Edging towards the 350 lead. Imo what England should avoid is getting Broad and Finn in to bat, let them chill in the pavilion until it's time to bowl. Important that England give themselves enough time to get the wickets they need, SA almost pulled off a draw in India in not too dissimilar circumstances.
