mjw
South Africa's session again. Ali seems to be all wickets or all runs, never in between. TMS talking about Talksport cricket commentator Jack Bannister passing away.

jmothecat
Cook not far off being the first English batsman (and twelfth overall) to get 10,000 test runs. Could even do it tomorrow.

Some achievement. I'll give you any odds you want Joe Root is next.
wulliemc
Do you mean English batsman to reach 10k or any nationality?
jmothecat
Another poor innings by Hales. Can't see him opening in the summer. Maybe move Compton up the order and put Ballance in at third.

peasy23
Rabada wow. 20 and a test michelle. He's bowled tremendously this morning, England right up against it with 6 wickets down and still way behind.
mjw
Two steps forward and one back with this England side. They are just so inconsistent.
Fuctifano
Booitsme must be in the shop for repairs, so SA finished on 42-1 with a lead of 175, thought England were quite unlucky in that last session not to pick up a couple more, ball was moving about everywhere. Certainly not getting any easier to bat, think 300 will be enough for SA, weather might be England's best hope.

With the exception of the 'leather jacket' test I think there has only ever been one successful fourth innings run chase of over 200 (at Centurion).I see Rashid has done very well in the Australian take on the IPL. Hopefully he can perform well for Englabd at the World T20. Edited January 25, 2016 by jmothecat
peasy23
Some turnaround for Jimmy Anderson, he looked way off the boil in the first innings but he has 3-21 this time around, SA 83-3, lead by 216.
