Fuctifano
Decent fightback, the start obviously cost us, although I don't think the kiwis would have been so casual had they been chasing say 220. At least we never got a 10 wicket tanking that could have shattered any confidence built up in the warm up games.
lichtie23
Not the tanking I thought we would get a few short hours ago.
jmothecat
That ended up being closer than I thought it would be when I went to bed. As said above, I can't imagine New Zealand would have batted so poorly if they faced a higher run chase. Saw New Zealand play Scotland in Aberdeen a few years ago, I think Scotland barely managed to get past 100 before they were all out. Pretty sure it didn't last long past lunch. Good to see Scotland posting a respectable account of themselves. I'm feeling fairly torn about the England game now. On the one hand I still want England to go ahead and win the whole thing (though obviously I know it's highly unlikely) on the other I would love to see Scotland get a test playing nation scalp.
dorlomin
New Zealand came close to totally screwing that up. Great application from the bowlers.
endieinreekie
That's a good fightback from the team, in both the batting and bowling senses, against one best teams in the world at present. Berrington and Machan played brilliantly to get to a respectable-ish total and to get 7 wickets is fairly impressive, even if NZ were just fannying around.
Uncle Psychosis
New Zealand came close to totally screwing that up. Not really, they were fairly clearly going for a high Net Run Rate. They were never in any danger. A decent recovery from a horrific start for Scotland but its hard to see where a win is going to come from. What do Ireland do that we don't? They're miles ahead of us.

In fairness NZ are streaks ahead of West Indies on current form
die hard doonhamer
Afghanistan reduced to 3-3 in reply to 267ao from Bangladesh. Struggling.
The Naitch
Afghanistan reduced to 3-3 in reply to 267ao from Bangladesh. Struggling. 134-5 now, so they've done well from that shocking start. Only 13 overs left though. die hard doonhamer
And from there they go to 136-7. They'll be lucky to see out the 50 overs now.
Bearwithme
England win the toss and bat v NZ. Both sides unchanged.

Swarley
Holy crap, Scotland might have a chance against them at this rate!
Eednud
Ridiculous having to break for lunch with only 14 (silly tit it's only 12) runs needed. Edited February 20, 2015 by Eednud

peasy23
Got to hand it to England to be fair, they keep coming up with new and imaginative ways of humiliating themselves every time they play. It took New Zealand just 74 balls to run up the 124 they needed.
lichtie23
So by the rules of the playground.....we are better than England
die hard doonhamer
I put £10 on Scotland at 11/1. I'm starting to think out could come in.
