booitsme7
Tea break delayed by 4 overs (15 mins). Loved the last over the 6 minute maiden by Johnson.

kerrdavidson95
He was a failure. One fifty in 12 innings . A test match average of under 30. Nick Compton was a lot harder done to than Carberry Carberry was the only one capable of holding up an end whilst it all collapsed around him.
H_B
Carberry was the only one capable of holding up an end whilst it all collapsed around him. Really? By holding an end up do you mean getting dismissed cheaply? 12 innings. 1 50. An average of 28. That's shite.
booitsme7
Great to see that on his return to the team that Steven Finn got player of the match.

Carberry had the third highest average of the English team of the series and hit was only second to Pietersen in terms of runs scored. Saying he's a failure is confounding.
die hard doonhamer
Carberry would be a backward step. Hales is the only realistic option.

kerrdavidson95
Selectors to meet today to name squad for fourth ashes test. I hope Rushworth at least comes into the squad, Wood will replace Anderson and batting order to remain unchanged.
H_B
I don't think they'll drop Lyth either but they should. Being bailed out by Anderson and Finn doesn't change that he looks atrocious. Without Jimmy they'll need another 100 runs at least to win at Trent Bridge. I wouldn't go into the game with a guy who won't get 15 between two knocks. I think Woakes might get called up.
peasy23
Plunkett and Footitt added to the squad for the next Test.
kerrdavidson95
Would rather have seen Brooks called up instead of Plunkett.
peasy23
Don't really see the point of calling Plunkett up either tbh, at 30 he's hardly going to improve now.
H_B
Think he's seen as more of a like for like replacement for Jimmy. Few people have been touting Footitt for ages. Ticks a few boxes. Left arm seamer that they don't have.. Plus very quick.. Interesting.
peasy23
Tbh if Wood is fit I think he will come back in. Footitt has taken a wicket this morning in the one day cup. In the same competition Worcestershire's Joe Leach took a hat trick with the first three balls of the innings.
jmothecat
Decided not to shave my moustache area for the past few weeks just to see what it would look like (and if, in fact, I could actually grow a moustache), looking at myself in the mirror right now I've just realised I look an awful lot like David Warner. I'm going to go shave.
