Savage Henry
Debut wicket (belatedly) for Rashid. He's bowling excellently. Clearly a far better bowler than Ali. If he can bat, then that number 8 position should be his for the foreseeable future. Ali down to five for Bairstow and Hales opening, I reckon, for South Africa. peasy23
Yep, he's bowled excellently today, deserves more than one wicket tbh. Wood is usually as enthusiastic as they come, but this pitch has even killed him. Brilliant start from Anderson this morning too, no matter the conditions he somehow finds a way to get folk out.
peasy23
And he got another just as I pressed send, a fizzer of a ball

Got his second - should be his third - with a ball that spun quite a lot and took the edge.
Fuctifano
Game on? Should be able to chase 6 an over even with no fielding restrictions or leg side wides. Could see another finish in the dark.
peasy23
Pakistan falling apart, effectively 90-7 with 25 overs left in the day, although two will be lost for the change of innings if England can dismiss the tail.
btb
FFS - I go to the shops with Pakistan at 150-odd/5 and I come back and they're 173 all out leaving England 99 to make in what should be 19 overs (confirmed) albeit with light an issue - bet all those folk taking easy money on the draw are regretting it now! Alastair Cook - after a tumultuous period between losing the Ashes (and KP) down under and the captaincy of the one day side he's rediscovered his technique and made a complete comeback. Currently twelfth on the all time Test run scorers list he's not yet 31 and as long as he's only got Test cricket to focus on I don't see anything except a serious injury stopping him going all the way to the top.
Fuctifano
England only have about 40 minutes tops, can't see Pakistan hurrying.
Savage Henry
This would be an insane win for England. Five for for Rashid.

Fuctifano
Unless the umpires make them play in the dark then no chance. Ali out now as well.
jmothecat
Quick 15 from Bairstow. Still a chance here.

jmothecat
Pity. Reminds me of that 2013 Ashes match.
dorlomin
One of the all time great English knocks by Cook. I dont like him as a person but that was the epitome of mental toughness, digging in and batting long. Kallis or Chanderpaul would have been proud of that.
Savage Henry
Another absolute stinker of a pitch. Not as bad as Abu Dhabi, but still not test standard.

peasy23
Amazing how similar it is to the first test when they were 286-4 at the close. At least they managed to fit in the full 90 overs.
