Bring Back Paddy Flannery
Bob back on the scene for this weekend’s “Mexican Open”. A poor field IMO, and at this stage I’m selfishly wishing he was just slugging it out on the DP because these lesser events are absolutely rotten to watch. This PGA card that is earned via the standings on the DP is a bit of a sham, hopefully he can sort out the putting and make a good go of it to put him in the frame for playing some of the tournaments that are actually worth watching.
doulikefish
Bob tees off at 20 past 3 so hopefully on the early coverage Cancel that he is +2 after 6 Edited February 22 by doulikefish
Ignoramus
His short putting and inconsistency will kill him on the PGAT. If he misses the cut this week and next, I wonder if he considers a move over to Europe for a couple of weeks and see if that brings a change in fortunes.

Distant Doonhamer
23 minutes ago, doulikefish said: Finishes evens a decent fightback Indeed. Birdied 3 of the last 5 holes. Holed from near 40 feet for a 2 on the par three 17th and then up and down from a greenside bunker for a birdie 4 on 18th. Keeps him in with a chance of making the cut. Out at 8.05pm UK time tomorrow.
peasy23
Yet again he hit the ball pretty well but didn't hole that many putts until late in the round. E.g., he drove the par 4 7th and had 5ft 5in for eagle, but missed.

He said he was going all in on the PGA, he's not going to chuck it in February when it's one part of his game he's struggling with. Think we all need to chill a bit, he still has the whole year to improve and make the cuts he needs to.
VictorOnopko
Not often the leaders of the European and PGA tour events on a given week are from Finland (the country where I want to be...)
Distant Doonhamer
The chat on Sky coverage suggesting the cut in Mexico likely to be at 2 under par. Bob needing at worst a round of two under to make the cut. 3 Scots in top 10 in Kenya on DP World Tour event including Connor Syme who eagled the 18th today to be tied leader.

Ignoramus
Another thing that’s interesting is how well the DPWT players who got their PGAT cards have actually done this season. Pavon winning Pebble and placing in other tournaments, Hojgaard having good results as well, Valimaki in a share of the lead at the moment and Bob, Campillo and Olesen in decent positions and well above the cut line. Almost as if the gap in standard in the States beyond the big names isn’t as big as we’re all led to believe…
