The Naitch
Is the person cheering on Carter a man or a woman? It's hard to tell. Anyway, Atkins is playing well so far and should have enough in his locker to see this one out.
StewartyMac
Atkins looks a bit like Michael from Alan Partridge.
The Naitch
Carter seems to have settled down on stage and is starting to throw some nice darts ... nice enough to put him in control of the match. EDIT: Carter never looked back and won the match 3-1. Edited January 3, 2010 by The Naitch
Marshmallo
I've been watching the whole tournament (PDC) a couple of days behind so haven't read this thread to avoid knowing the scores. Anderson was hugely disappointing, and from what I've seen of him since he made the move across I'll be surprised if he can make any real impact in the near future. He seems to be over-rated due to beating Taylor in that final a few years back, and the PDC seem to be pushing him so I wouldn't be surprised if he gets one of the wildcards for the PL, which he doesn't deserve by any stretch of the imagination. Some of the second round ties were great, Stompe-King in particular was of a superb standard and it just highlights the strength of depth of the PDC. Most of the quality on show in those ties was light years ahead of much of the first round and it strengthens the argument that there should be less games in the tournament. Some of the other matches in the latter stages have been great as well, Whitlock has been great to watch and thoroughly deserves his place in the final, especially given the players he's beaten to get there. His match against Barney was a classic. Taylor has been impressive as well, even though he's had an easier route the manner in which he's destroyed players means he deserves to be there. Hopefully it'll be the final the tournament deserves and Whitlock gives him a good game. I'll predict 7-3 Taylor. Also, probably been mentioned a few pages back, but Painter's punching a bit above his weight with regards his girlfriend -
The Naitch
Next couple of matches from the mens draw are about to get underway ... a nice prelude to the action down at the Ally Pally, which starts at 7pm with the 3rd/4th play-off.
ayrmad
Carter pummelling tops reminded me of Deller the year he qualified and won it many moons ago, if he can relax and get over his excitement at being at the Lakeside he could go really far this week.
dubs
For anyone interested the 3rd/4th place play off is just a straight best of 19 leg shoot out.

Davis Love III
If I remember correctly, didn't Chisnel give Martin Adams a hell of a game a year or two back? SO obvously a very talented player, sometimes I just don't think Fitton quite has the consistency to go all the way in a tournament of this calibre, Hope i'm wrong as he's one player on the BDO circuit who I actually like.
The Naitch
Chisnall wins it and the No.4 seed is out.
Davis Love III
Chisnall wins it and the No.4 seed is out. Mr. Bling was correct in his prediction then.
Lambies_Apprentice
No sympathy for Fitton. He wants to stay in the BDO where theres hee haw money and hes away home with peanuts. Chisnall was pretty good.

DomDom
Very interview friendly What did he say ? Was he a "yes" "no" sort of bloke ? Not surprised Chisnall is through. Even before last year's WCs he was tipped to do well.
