Poet of the Macabre
Scott Waites can call himself a two-time World Champion, despite not averaging above 88 in a final. That's pretty pathetic.
F_T_Y
There really is no incentive to switch when he can turn up every year and collect 100k, i can see him being like martin adams and capitalizing as the best players leave. Was a really poor tournament i thought, enjoyed the ladies games more. Players like Norris, bunting, kist, wilson were all missed. You will always have county players coming through but where is the next big name going to come from in the bdo, Glen Durrant must be raging after throwing away that lead against waites. What a gentleman Jeff Smith was throughout the week, but that is twice he has been pumped at the business end of this tournament.

Snakebite
Waites is never going to move, he admitted tonight he plays for the fun of it & not for the cash His game isn't suited to the PDC. He likes a piss up and doesn't practice enough which isn't suited to the grind of the tour. You won't see the BDO on the BBC again after that shite and the licence fee cuts. Thank f**k. 87 and 84 averages would barely cut it in the first round at Ally Pally. A truly horrific tournament.
callum-ayr
Waites was smashed during his interview where he had several digs at Bobby George. The lad Colin Murray kept trying to finish the programme haha, it was very awkward when it finished. meanmistermustard
The standard of the BDO is abysmal, even the presenters were saying it was average throughout the final. Will the BBC give it up tho? Will pay next to nothing for the tournament and they can say its more live sport on the BBC. Cant see BT trying to put any decent amount of money into it as the BDO come across as happy remaining a far distant second to the PDC.
