Wade vs. Taylor with Wade bottling it against the Power like he usually does.

Wade/Barney MIGHT be a cracker depending on which version of each player turns up. Those two guys have been the most inconsistant players in the PL.

Taylor did not look right at all but fair play to King although is scoring wasn't amazing some of his shot outs were really top drawer in what is his first appearance in this competition on finals night.

Taylor was rotten. Most of the top 32 players in the PDC and probably the top BDO players would ALL have had a field day with him on that form. Terrible.

Credit where it's due though, King still had to produce the shots and the checkouts to beat him. The likes of Scholten, Lloyd, Manley, Mardle etc would still have folded, letting Taylor through by the skin of his teeth.

I reckon you're right about Lloyd. Scholten isn't very good just now, but Scholten before his injury would have dealt with that. The same goes for the other names you mentioned. Taylor was not doing ANYTHING in the last few legs. It was getting to a point where hitting a treble was a mission for him.

He didn't though, he was one of the worst offenders when it came to facing Taylor. In fact, in 29 attempts he's never beaten Taylor. Manley has only beaten him twice in major competition - though both were magnificent wins. As for Mardle, his one and only major victory over Taylor was the QF match in the 2008 World Championships.

A lot of players still get stage fright (for want of a much better term) when they're up against Taylor.
