The Naitch
Well done to Jamie Caven who today won his first tournament since switching to the PDC in 2007. He beat Alan Tabern in the final. Edited May 10, 2009 by The Naitch
The Naitch
Premier League Play-Offs start in little over 30 minutes time. Wade vs Barney and King vs Taylor are the semi-final matches - reckon Wade and Taylor will make it through that.
Neilly
Looking forward to this. Wade and Barney should be a cracker and I fancy Wade as well but I can't see anything other than Taylor destroying King.
DomDom
Wade vs. Taylor with Wade bottling it against the Power like he usually does. Wade/Barney MIGHT be a cracker depending on which version of each player turns up. Those two guys have been the most inconsistant players in the PL.

The Naitch
That blonde walk on lassie is fucking unbelievable. What did she do - come out in support of MP's over the Expenses Scandal?

Marshmallo
This first match is shaping up to be a belter. Still fancy Wade to win despite Barney taking a 3-2 lead into the break. -
The Naitch
Wade has had a couple of chance to break the throw but Barney just gets in there and nicks the leg. Good contest so far.
The Naitch
Wade has since turned up the heat and looking well worth his 7-4 lead.
The Naitch
What a ding-dong battle - Barney pulls out some magnificent shots and it's now back to 7-7. Excellent stuff.
The Naitch
Wade wins it 10-8, cracking match!
The Naitch
Taylor 3-2 up at the break after being 2-0 down against King.
The Naitch
Taylor off the boil big time. He's 9-6 down at the break, King only needs one leg to win the match and reach the final.
The Naitch
And the big dog is gone - we'll crown a new Premier League Champion later this evening.
Neilly
Taylor did not look right at all but fair play to King although is scoring wasn't amazing some of his shot outs were really top drawer in what is his first appearance in this competition on finals night.
DomDom
Taylor was rotten. Most of the top 32 players in the PDC and probably the top BDO players would ALL have had a field day with him on that form. Terrible.

Credit where it's due though, King still had to produce the shots and the checkouts to beat him. The likes of Scholten, Lloyd, Manley, Mardle etc would still have folded, letting Taylor through by the skin of his teeth.

Scholten isn't very good just now, but Scholten before his injury would have dealt with that. The same goes for the other names you mentioned. Taylor was not doing ANYTHING in the last few legs. It was getting to a point where hitting a treble was a mission for him.

He didn't though, he was one of the worst offenders when it came to facing Taylor. In fact, in 29 attempts he's never beaten Taylor. Manley has only beaten him twice in major competition - though both were magnificent wins. As for Mardle, his one and only major victory over Taylor was the QF match in the 2008 World Championships. A lot of players still get stage fright (for want of a much better term) when they're up against Taylor.
