ajwffc
He certainly wasn't great as Scotland coach, but I'm assuming he must have had some part in attracting Cotter, Rennie and Cockerill to work here.He is director of rugby with us the now. Don't know how much say he has had in bringing managers in but the new Super 6 was partly his doing. He also has had some involvement in finding the project players and players out with Scotland with Scottish parents/grandparents.

Hard to argue that Scottish rugby isn’t in a much stronger position across the board than when he arrived.

Detournement
This year's team are far from done, the jury remains out on how they fare against the top teams. Signing quality is difficult. I think there is reason to optimistic that there are lots of improvements to come from a young squad. David990
The re signing of players who can be considered the core the team is no bad thing.
honestly united
Im sure Rennie said in an interview a few weeks back that he was looking at Fagerson, Horne and Hastings as his 8 / 9 /10 combination and although good now are only going to get better and will be the spine of the team for seasons to come. Apart from Seymour (who is hardly old) the majority of players resigning are all what you could class as youngsters and a few more season playing together will be a boost for the squad. We dont have the money to compete with England or France, so we need to focus on bringing youngsters through, keeping them until mid 20's then letting them make there money with big moves and hoping we get them back for a few years at the end of their careers.
come on shire
Jonathan Humphreys to quit as Glasgow's assistant coach to take a job with the Welsh union at the end of the season. One of Wayne Pivac's backroom staff with the Wales national team I'd wager. Edited December 19, 2018 by come on shire

Mark Connolly
Good. Our forwards have definitely not been the same under him. Will be interesting to see who gets the gig, especially after all the young Scottish guys got the Super6 jobs last week.

Mark Connolly
Good to see Mike Adamson get at least one of them. Odd that Lloyd Linton is refereeing the second week, but in Italy - why not just give him the 1872 game?
John Lambies Doos
Resigning the bulk of the current squad is great news but who recycles last years presents and tries to pass them off as new? If Glasgow want to move up a level and make a right go of competing with the likes of Leinster and Saracens surely they need to be adding top quality and not just hanging onto what has currently proved to close but no cigar. In fairness, how much quality have Leinster signed? Not much at all, mostly comes through their academy

Not much at all, mostly comes through their academy Well they have signed multiple established Tier One internationals (Henshaw, Fardy, Tomane) and James Lowe would not have been cheap. It also needs to be remembered that they are the only professional sport team in an area with a population of 2.5m and Dublin has a load of private schools that spend big money on their rugby teams.

They are not getting their success through purchasing players. That's clear to see, unlike Racing and Saracens
