Build the score and frustrate the Frenchies It's not just Glasgow that do it, but they should definitely be taking points, especially when they were trailing at the time. There's no pressure bigger than scoreboard pressure.
Mark Connolly
It almost feels like they don't trust Horne or Thompson from the tee
Snobot
Does my head in. The other team wins the scrum and they are going forward. Why does it have to be a penalty? The ball is available.

GAD
Well that was tense. Great result, just imagine, kick a penalty in front of the posts 5 mins ago and you don't have to go through all that.
Left Back
Poor call to kick for the lineout at the end rather than secure posession with a scrum. Almost cost them but that’s a great result.

Almost cost them but that’s a great result. The scrum had got obliterated about a minute before, and would have been at the previous scrum if they hadn't gone channel 1. They'd have had a penalty on halfway if we had gone for the scrum
GAD
For an extra lol, Scarlets just been pumped at home by that Georgian team.

Channel 1 quick strike to me is a better percentage of securing the ball than a malfunctioning lineout. It wasn’t like they stopped the frogs hopping down the pitch anyway.
Self-raising Lazarus
So far so good from Edinburgh, was pleased to see the Scottish 10 come back in for Glasgow, surely offers more than 32 year old Duncan weir?
GAD
Everytime I see Maitland play for Sarries I wonder why Townsend was so quick to dump him. He's definitely a better player than Ollie Smith.
GAD
The Irish commentator sounded suicidal as he had to describe Sale running in that try.

He definitely won't be an option by the next world cup but hard to believe he wouldn't have been a handy player to have still had playing regularly going into a WC when your starting XV and most experienced back 3 player retires to spend more time with a horse racing presenter Edited December 19, 2023 by GHF-23

Maitland is the back three with the best skillset to deal with that.

A hammer blow for him and Glasgow. Scotland are paper thin at full back and will have to hope Kinghorn stays fit. Maitland would be more than capable cover.
