The article provided to back that up showed only one man doing it and doing so at a distinct Islamist rally. We can see in the video clip its being held separately and isn't part of the broader public demonstrations. These Islamist wankers regularly hold rallies yet only now is one being highlighted. That's to try and tar the folk who were out demonstrating against their government's tacit backing of an allied state's civilian murder. The coverage that The Telegraph and similar outlets are providing is consistently shallow and cynical. Folk need to be more curious and try other sources if they want a fuller understanding. On Hizb ut-Tahrir, in Europe and North America I think its only Germany that's banned them. That image is, I think, from 2006. If you're drawing analogies from that time then fair enough but I'd suggest you need a bit of clarity about the currency of that image..

Pretty certain that ISIS regard Hamas as apostates. I know that it’s said to try to justify killing Palestinian civilians, but still Quote Itzchak Weismann, an Israeli historian of Islamist movements at the University of Haifa, concurred. “There’s a tendency to say that [Hamas] was always ISIS. But that’s not necessarily true. It’s an organization that responds to the situation,” he told Israeli newspaper Haaretz last week, pointing to how Hamas has tolerated other religious groups in Gaza. “Hamas tried to be inclusive of all of Gaza’s population. ... In contrast, ISIS would murder any Muslim who didn’t pray at the correct time. You can’t just say, ‘ISIS slaughtered people and so did Hamas, so they’re the same.’ That’s very superficial.” There’s also the small wrinkle, noted Aaron Zelin, senior fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, that ISIS “literally views Hamas as apostates” because of its ties to the Shiite theocratic regime in Iran. https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2023/10/25/hamas-isis-islamic-state-israel-terrorism-analogy/ The WP article also links to this long piece that's worth a read, written on October 19th so before it was clear to most people that the hospital disaster was more likely caused by a Hamas or Islamic Jihad rocket accident than Israeli bombing. https://www.lrb.co.uk/the-paper/v45/n21/adam-shatz/vengeful-pathologies P.S. Found this as well.. ISIS Declares War on Hamas, and Gaza Families Disown Sons in Sinai P.P.S. Last one, promise! Apparently Al Qaeda hate Hamas as well, the Milwall of jihadis. https://ctc.westpoint.edu/al-qaida-and-hamas-the-limits-of-salafi-jihadi-pragmatism/ Edited October 26, 2023 by welshbairn
Wee-Bey
Hamas are just unlucky that they're the wrong type of 'moderate' jihadi's that the West likes to sponsor.

Incidentally, are Israel's propaganda department massive Gaspar Noe fans or something? Their promotional material is like sitting through the credits to Irreversible or Enter the Void, but sadly with no pounding techno.

I think that, sometimes, actual support for Zionism can be rooted in antisemitism. Do people remember Ken Livingstone arguing that Hitler was a Zionist? Similarly, Balfour was not motivated by love of the Jewish people. Support for the dispossessed people of Palestine equates to neither anti-Zionism nor antisemitism. It is rooted in sympathy for a people whose needs and interests were not considered in Balfour's scheme, or at any time subsequently. https://www.palestine-studies.org/en/node/232119
Ewanandmoreagain
There is a very good , balanced programme on BBC I player about the origins of this conflict. The plan of some Jews , plan D , to ethnically cleanse Palestine of Palestinians was mentioned. David Ben Gurion was a liar. You cannot be expelling Palestinians and at the same time telling them it is o.k. to stay
