Former Israeli diplomat Dan Gillerman doesn’t hold back on Sky news.

Anyone with half an once of brain can see the situation in Afghanistan was almost the polar opposite of what is happening in Gaza. These people have had a collective "heads gone" and seem to be taking a few of the stupid / gullible / bigoted with them.

Interesting to see even the right wing UK press starting to soften their stance slightly.

So Taliban and Al Queda equals Palestinian people.

You would imagine someone posting this clip would attach a condemnation of this false equivalency.

What a disgusting man

Pure fascism and propaganda for genocide on Sky News, cool.

Firstly he's puzzled why people would care about the deaths of civilians.  He calls all Palestinians "horrible, inhuman animals" then suggests that all Palestinians are terrorists when he conflates them with the Taliban or Al-Qaeda.

Pretty shocking that this went unchallenged.

Can you imagine the heads gone if someone had spoken about Israelis or Jews in this fashion? Unfortunately, the Palestinians seem to be fair game for all sorts of genocidal rhetoric.

He didnt allow himself to be interrupted, kept ranting on - the usual politician patter.

My guess is that Sky released this version in order that the wider world can see what a massive walloper the guy really is.

There is a definite move amongst our rightwing press to make Taliban, Al Queda, ISIS, Hamas and ordinary Palestinians all the same. It helps "justify" this awful slaughter.

Hizb-ut-Tahrir are an odd one - support the restoration of the Caliphate but by non-violent means. It's not just Western governments that don't tolerate them but Muslim ones as well.

Donathan's line was "It’s these sort of attitudes that are allowing our streets to be filled with protesters openly calling for Jihad". The article provided to back that up showed only one man doing it and doing so at a distinct Islamist rally. We can see in the video clip its being held separately and isn't part of the broader public demonstrations. These Islamist wankers regularly hold rallies yet only now is one being highlighted. That's to try and tar the folk who were out demonstrating against their government's tacit backing of an allied state's civilian murder. The coverage that The Telegraph and similar outlets are providing is consistently shallow and cynical. Folk need to be more curious and try other sources if they want a fuller understanding.

On Hizb ut-Tahrir, in Europe and North America I think its only Germany that's banned them.

You do realise that the Independent hasn't existed in that format for years. That image is, I think, from 2006. If you're drawing analogies from that time then fair enough but I'd suggest you need a  bit of clarity about the currency of that image..

You’d think that experience would make him sympathetic to the possible liquidation of Hamas.

Maybe he’ll be more supportive of The Hamas.

Not the main point, but I’m pretty sure that Hamas and ISIS fucking hate each other. Pretty certain that ISIS regard Hamas as apostates.

I know that it’s said to try to justify killing Palestinian civilians, but still

Some students are holding a bake sale for Palestine.

Having a biscuit now in aid of them.

Any sort of eating support is welcome.  So long as you’re not having Ham as a gesture.

Wrong in so many ways.

Itzchak Weismann, an Israeli historian of Islamist movements at the University of Haifa, concurred. “There’s a tendency to say that [Hamas] was always ISIS. But that’s not necessarily true. It’s an organization that responds to the situation,” he told Israeli newspaper Haaretz last week, pointing to how Hamas has tolerated other religious groups in Gaza. “Hamas tried to be inclusive of all of Gaza’s population. ... In contrast, ISIS would murder any Muslim who didn’t pray at the correct time. You can’t just say, ‘ISIS slaughtered people and so did Hamas, so they’re the same.’ That’s very superficial.”

There’s also the small wrinkle, noted Aaron Zelin, senior fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, that ISIS “literally views Hamas as apostates” because of its ties to the Shiite theocratic regime in Iran.

The WP article also links to this long piece that's worth a read, written on October 19th so before it was clear to most people that the hospital disaster was more likely caused by a Hamas or Islamic Jihad rocket accident than Israeli bombing.

ISIS Declares War on Hamas, and Gaza Families Disown Sons in Sinai

P.P.S. Last one, promise! Apparently Al Qaeda hate Hamas as well, the Milwall of jihadis.
