  1. The post might have come across more blunt and harsh than I meant it too. I wasn't meaning to kick them all out now, it was more a list of players that I would be looking to replace/improve on. In regards to Lyness, he did alright, but I think we need a better number 1, as next season is going to be difficult and the keeper is going to be a lot busier, plus his distribution has left a lot to be desired. I would keep Smith as our sub, so Lyness would be sticking around as a reserve, which might be the best use of funds. But yeah I would want him to stick around atm, as it's not a guarantee we will be able to sign someone that is an improvement on him.
  2. I'd keep McGlynn personally, i liked what I saw in his odd appearance and he scored a few goals, so think he deserves another chance, maybe as a impact sub. I'd ship out: Lyness Hendrie McGowan Hewitt Murray Winter Mumbongo
  3. This is what happens when you mess about and low ball players. If you can keep his confidence high, he will be a key player for yous. No doubt will come back to haunt us when we meet.
  4. Congratulations to yourselves as well. Don't think it would be a bad idea, I think it will be very hard for him to get regular game time, assuming everyone we have stays, centre back postion is very crowded, and I expect it will mostly be Martin and Macdonald in the middle.
  5. In recovery from what was a fantastic day yesterday. I'm still in disbelief a bit with how it all went, that was probably the best performance of the season. The team really stepped up and found a gear that no one expected, weathered the first few minutes of pressure, and were clinical when it mattered. Couldn't fault anyone, thought to a man they all played well and did their bit. Owens is turning into a phenomenal player, and surely has guaranteed a starting place in next seasons starting team. Yes it has to be said, credit where credits due, Rankin got it spot on, after all the criticism that he got this season, which was mostly all justified imo, fair play to him for showing up when it matters. He's earned the chance to be at the helm for next season, hoping to see a lot more of that spirit we saw yesterday. Commiserations to ICT, dont think its quite the doom and gloom that a lot of people are making it out. I remember this time last year, many people were commenting on our relegation, saying that it would be the while before we were seen again, and look how that turned out.
  6. Yeah before the start I was hoping for any sort of victory which we managed to get, so has to be seen as a positive. But at half time was definitely hoping for a bit more. That first half is up there with the best I've seen from them this season, we were still somewhat going for more, even after the 2nd which is rare, maybe the players were ignoring Rankins instructions. But the inevitable happens, they go in for half time and come out all negative after Rankin has had a chance to properly get his words in. f**k knows what it is he actually says.
  7. Pleasing to get in half time a goal up. Had no idea an Alloa player had got sent off during the 2nd goal. It's not over, off the ball we are really suspect, no press and always give them time and space.
  8. May as well, Rankin probably won't play him anyway.
  9. For the 2nd leg, can the players just stay out at half time and have a walk around the pitch, keep them as far away from Rankin as possible.
  10. Have a really horrible feeling about these games. Managing duo that have achieved nothing of note, and widely regarded amongst the support as not good enough, sign a 3 year deal right before going into their most important games of their tenure. Can see where this story is going, can only hope there's a twist. We lost before our away legs in the play-offs last year 1-0, and while we showed that can be overcome, why not do ourselves a favour and go for the advantage early, and take it into the home game.
  11. Performance today summed up Rankin as a whole, completely gutless and incompetent. Don't care where we are next season, if he's in charge I'll seriously consider not renewing my season ticket.
  12. Well shows where my faith in Rankin was at the start of the season and despite being 2 places higher, I still think we've underachieved. We've been limping to the finish line since the start of the year and if QotS or Cove had their act much more together, I think my prediction would have been more accurate.
  13. More of the same, a good result but not a great performance. Will more than take this trend if it continues into the play-offs, but I can't see us troubling the championship side with these performances. Falkirk fans, the ones on here anyway, have shown many times that they are an obsessive bunch.
