  1. The start of lockdown was a nightmare, had just lost my job not long before it happened, remember being in the pub when it started and all the messages came out. Where I live I can see the junction of Union St and King St in Aberdeen, probably one of the busiest junctions in the city centre. Ig stand at my front door I can see 7 pubs (Wig, Blackfriars, Carlton, Portals, Archies, Brewdog & Fierce - was 8 at start of lockdown, the Castle never reopened). It went from noise and people all day, delivery lorries, taxis, buses, prison vans, it was always busy in the day with the courts and the nights with the pubs and casino. Then overnight it was zombie apocalypse. With not working and like living in a dead town, where pubs normally with all lights on were dark was hard. Although walks to the beach helped. Getting a job during lockdown was weird, Teams interview, then IT equipment delivered to flat, and WFH for 8months without ever meeting a colleague. Then went to hybrid. Changed job and this is hybrid too, that probably the best that so many job will never go back to in an office 5 days a week.
  2. Hard to tell what worse, the gaffe of the location or the phrase ' all the football ', who seriously says looking forward to all the football. Just a tosser.
  3. Can you be trusted with using a pencil to put a cross in a box on 04/07, or do you need a proxy vote?
  4. The weekend before Polling Day (Sat 29/06 - Tue 02/07) is scheduled for the round of 16 the Euros. Expect lots of posed photos of arseholes with less football knowledge than DRoss sitting having a pint/cup of tea in a fresh out the bag England shirt, worn over their dress shirt, with suit trousers and Adidas Samba trainers all over SM as they 'Cheer the Boys'. Is it too much to hope that is when they crash out, and the ensuing riots and depression prove a fitting end to these last 14 years.
  5. Just don't watch the longer 3 min video, it the most cringe worthy political rally in UK History.
  6. I wish to submit my Comedy score as my daily score, Comedy - 9 Knew the first 8, the last two were guesses and I hit one, missed the last question Wednesday 8 - missed poet and Referendum.
  7. A definite structure so that folk heading home know when they can hear ALL the scores (not just some selected ones and feel free to look at the website if you want anything we can't be arsed with). and proper discussion on the different leagues. Only spiced up if they attach electrodes to the current clown crew that appear and they get zapped every time they veer off subject to either of THEM, I can almost smell the frying presenters from here.
  8. We're All right, We're all right, we're all right, Worst political moment of a generation. And there is an excellent movie by Mike Leigh called Peterloo that is worth watching.
  9. Gaza war: Israeli tank fire kills five soldiers in north Gaza, military says - BBC News Wonder how they'll manage to blame this on Hamas, Israel's military says five soldiers have been killed by Israeli tank fire in northern Gaza, in one of the deadliest incidents of its kind since the war against Hamas began in October. An initial probe found that two tanks fired at a building in Jabalia refugee camp where the troops had gathered. Troops went back into the area this week after previously pulling out, saying Hamas had regrouped there. Tens of thousands of Palestinians have fled the fighting and bombardment. Both the Israeli military and Hamas's military wing said on Wednesday that battles in Jabalia camp and the surrounding town of Jabalia were intensifying.
