  1. Can’t see anything wrong with the Dunne challenge. Clearly got the ball. McGinn’s looks far worse!
  2. How did we not score here 879115A7-A249-4C51-8E3E-43764ACF3393.mov
  3. BBC don’t have any rights to the League Cup mate, even for highlights. Hopefully the club will put some out today on their socials.
  4. It’s now 18 years since Motherwell last beat Saints in a cup competition. We’ve met in 5 ties in that period (3 x Scottish and 2 x League Cup), with Saints winning the lot.
  5. The scoreline does us little justice, we battered Motherwell today. We’re a joy to watch at home, nobody is going to relish a visit to Paisley this season. If we can hang on to everyone, have a bit of luck with injuries, and improve our points return on the road then this could be a very special season. PS; Mark O’Hara was in the 1877 before the game and he expects to be involved in the squad next weekend.
  6. We're really on the verge of something really quite special. Before the season began..... Richard Taylor, CBM and Zach Hemming were all supposed to be bit part players and/or downgrades on what we had. Tanser was the weak point in the the team and Toyosi was a joke.... Yet those five were all absolutely outstanding today, in our sixth consecutive win. WHAT A CLUB.
  7. Another game defining moment from Zach Hemming on an afternoon when as a team we barely put a foot wrong. Only valid criticism is that it should have been more. What a team
  8. I take everything Robbo says to the media with a massive punch of salt to be honest. Even if the much discussed extra striker doesn’t materialise there is no chance we go into the period to January with just one left wing back in the squad. On that note Tanser has been brilliant so far this season, one player who very seldom gets the credit he deserves.
  9. Think because the Dundee player ended up on the floor it probably caught the eye more than a run of the mill shirt pull would have. It was definitely a penalty, silly stuff from Mandron.
  10. The reason Nick Walsh on VAR didn't award the goal is because he couldn't apparently be 100% sure the ball had crossed the line. If Colin Steven had given it, then Walsh presumably would have allowed it to stand. It looks very much over the line but the truth is it's impossible to tell without a proper view from the crossbar looking down at the line.
  11. Motherwell fans were really quick to tell us how bad Mikael Mandron was. 4 goals in 5 appearances now. Have you got any other duds you'd like to give us lads?
  12. Thought we were very good first half today but second period we were pretty crap and got pressed back by Dundee. Strain had a poor afternoon tbh and I cannot remember the last time I thought that. Guess you can’t be good all the time and if you’re going to have a bad one best make it in a game we win
  13. Nothing in it other than putting 2+2 together after Ramadani left. Baccus is a pretty similar player IMO.
  14. I'd think that would be too rich for them to be fair and also assume Keanu has his sights on England, so hopefully it won't come to that. I definitely don't expect him to be with us when the transfer window closes. He's an absolute steal at £300K.
  15. I'm slightly concerned that Aberdeen are going to test us on Baccus.
  16. Agree but sometimes it's just the way it is. When you are bringing in the likes of Baccus or Strain they aren't the sort of players that are going to commit to contracts longer than a couple of years. They are joining us with the express intention of using it as a platform for a move to England and the riches available there, even in the 3rd or 4th tiers. Nothing we can really do about that. Baccus was clearly a bit of a punt but we beat off other Premiership competition to get him. Strain lost his way a bit in Israel but he's obviously wanting a crack at it down South and he's used us to hopefully get there. Getting O'Hara to sign an extended deal really was an incredible bit of business given how he has performed for us since joining. If he continues to play that way then there is every chance we may yet get our first full seven figure sale, but he's obviously been to England before and didn't massively perform so that might put potential suitors off. As for Baccus and Strain, as fans we will always put ridiculous valuations on them but the board will always take the view of the cost of them leaving next Summer for nowt versus getting a few hundred grand in now and hopefully bringing in a good replacement who can start the cycle all over again. Our recruitment has been one of the absolute stand outs of the Robinson era to date, if we keep doing it consistently we should start seeing the rewards both on the park and with the bank balance.
  17. Tell you what folks, I’ve never seen such a forensic examination of a goal we lost in a game we won as I’ve seen here Hemming was excellent on Sunday, end of.
  18. There was a network blip at the data centre where both those sites are hosted. All back online now.
  19. Could have been that, or perhaps there was some come and go on the fee. Either way we had to get rid to allow the wage and the transfer money to be used elsewhere. I think most of the fans were really disappointed when we first heard he was going, but when the rumours came out about exactly why he wanted to leave there was a step change and the general opinion became very much "fuck him".
  20. Pretty sure it's so he can go be with his family the other days, as they are still in the North of England. Something like that anyway.
  21. Yeah away end holds 1600. They will probably hold off on selling the section nearest the home end (N1) until last, but since you've already sold 1200 I imagine you're going to sell the whole lot so that bit will be open. You can see them doing that for the Motherwell game in the cup which we are selling ourselves. N1 is not currently for sale as it's right next to W7 which is where the North Bank are. https://www.stmirren.com/awaysupporters.shtml
  22. The margins between success and failure in the top flight are usually tiny. We've no divine right to beat anyone, and Dundee looked pretty decent from what I saw at the weekend. That said, we are in Paisley, and if we are to have a good season we need to repeat the excellent home form of last season. If we're to have an incredible season we need to do that AND improve our away form. Looking forward to the game, think it should be a cracker!
