  1. Unprofessional is too far actually, I take that back.
  2. First half was good. That second half was absolutely fucking rubbish, though. We look so disjointed as a 4-4-2. I’d be tempted to get McKay in and go back to 3-5-2 next week v Clyde. I thought we were quite unprofessional second half today which isn’t something I thought I’d say about this side. Glenavon were about as good as a junior outfit and we strolled about the park with zero intensity toiling to finish them off. Number 6 for them wouldn’t look out of place in a Sunday amateur side in the Bevy park. Munro’s save was superb in the first half. A real Dave McGurn special. MacDonald continues to impress and was pretty unlucky at the goal. Davidson won absolutely everything and was my MoM. Bowie scored but missed a few chances with powderpuff shots and Hendry got his foot on it and pretty much everything went through him. Other than that we were off the pace. Trying not to be too negative but we could’ve taken 6 or 7 off them today if we’d been a bit more thorough in our application. Hope Anderson is ok and it’s not a broken collar bone or anything. Our luck with injuries really never ceases to amaze me.
  3. Jesus f**k we are making hard work of this.
  4. Strange half of football. We’ve completely battered them when we have the ball but they actually looked ok going forward in the last 10, there. We look like we could score every time we go forward, and Bowie has missed a few chances including a total sitter. His reluctance to swing his right boot at it holds him back a tiny bit, but he’s looked sharp.
  5. Comedy error and MacDonald injured. We are absolutely streets ahead of Glenavon here, as well. So one sided.
  6. A thousand times this. Not many Rovers players I’d say I hated, but f**k me I hated that despicable wee c**t.
  7. I’m gonnae have to insist that no one says “Vitoria” ever again.
  8. A few fantastic renditions of allez allez allez yesterday, with a massive amount of people joining in. Makes such a difference to the enjoyment of the game when we get behind the side.
  9. Highlights also conclusively confirm what I thought at the time, it's never a foul on Lewis Allan before the second goal, which was a great finish. They also confirm what I thought at the time - that 12 for Falkrik should have been sent off for a ridiculous high tackle on Regan Hendry. How is that not a red card? Mental.
  10. Just a shame that we didn’t take advantage of Dixon in the first half; effectively gave him a free pass by playing McKay up against him. McKay is a passable centre half, never a right wing back. As soon as we changed it and put him under pressure by playing Armstrong we were well on top. Should’ve won it at the death but for a clearance off the line. Dynamite free kick from Armstrong. Delighted he’s on board, great player for this level. Superb second half for entertainment, well worth the entrance fee.
  11. This is probably the best description so far. Get your tenners oot, lads.
  12. Folk who have anything other than fish and/or chips from the chippy.
  13. “Let me beef it” was the term of choice in Glenrothes.
  14. Folk at school who wanted to have a few draws of someone else’s cigarette would often ask the person, “leave me twos” or if it was the very end it’d be “threes”. If they wanted a whole cigarette they’d ask, “crash me a fag”.
  15. Nando with a debut back heel assist and MoM performance is everything I wanted and more. What a hero.
  16. I’ve a few highly undesirable tops from about 10 years ago. I’ll look them out and see what there is.
  17. Mendy had probably the worst professional debut in my 20+ years history of following the Rovers v Dundee in the cup. Caught on the ball constantly, gave away a penalty, at direct fault for the first goal and nearly decapitated Andrew Nelson attempting an overhead kick clearance in his own box. It then transpired, as RTR has said, that he’d had a concussion the game previous. He hasn’t really been seen since other than a game where he came on v Peterhead and have a goal away with a slack back pass, and a game v the Shippy. Having said all of that, he has all the physical attributes of a dominant centre half and I don’t think I’ve ever wanted a player to succeed more than him. Hopefully this loan does him good and he can come back and be the commanding centre half we all thought we were signing.
