What’s most galling is that almost all of our recent injuries have happened in a game setting as opposed to training. Robbie Thomson snapped his Achilles’ tendon with no one near him, Munro injured his shoulder in the game with Airdrie, Grant Anderson has done his shoulder/collarbone after a tackle when the whistle had been blown about 10 seconds previous, Matthews got brained by Grant Anderson v East Fife, Lewis Allan hurt just hamstring in the game v Glenavon, Vaughan hurt his knee v Forfar on that terrible pitch. Easy for folk from the outside looking in to say, “need to look at your training methods” but, honestly, that is fucking rotten luck and nothing else.

Regan did his PCL whilst playing for us last time, tbf.

No danger we’ll win today. Too many influential players out. Hendry can’t get injured for any length of time or its season in the bin.

Dundee have been good. Passed the ball well and repelled anything Ayr have flung at them. Good noising up of Geggan, too.

Man, the forum was such a different place back then. The internet in general, even. Folk had their guard up much less in terms of anonymity and this would lead to absolutely insane dealings in folk's private lives being dealt out over the P&B table for all to see. The whole, years long, Kilt saga is testament to that.

I make East Fife favourites for this one, tbh. We’ve now got Thomson, S. Anderson, G. Anderson, Matthews, Victoria, Allan, Smith and Vaughan out - 8/22. More than a third of the squad. Not sure any other squad in the league could cope with that level of injuries. Nothing new for us, though.

Davidson has both feet off the ground whilst the Clyde player has both his feet planted. I think it’s reasonable to assume that two hands in your back in that situation would throw you off balance when going for a header.

The interviews on Thursday take place before training on Thursday. McKay and Allan could have picked up knocks in that session or the one on the Friday.
