  1. Would be very happy to see the back of Inverness. It should be a good day out but it’s just not. We occasionally get a result against the other teams in the play-offs, too. Hope they go up.
  2. This has been a lot like watching literally every Rovers performance in Inverness for the last two decades. A few early chances, then soundly beaten. Warms your heart.
  3. Not been mentioned here yet regarding Ray, so I’ll mention it. He had absolutely no interest in developing the young talent within the squad, indeed punting a promising, young Sean Mackie for £10k in order to fund the short term signing of Joel Thomas. Think of the successes we’ve had with our young players lately? Bowie and Tait sold for about £250k - with more to come for Bowie if he keeps going the way he is - plus Arnott and Young now in and around the first team. I worry that we’d go back to being all about the first time at the expense of a very fruitful youth set up. I think any new incumbent of the manager’s position will be made, by the board, to continue our fine work in this market.
  4. Whoever is telling you things is wrong about literally everything. I’d stop listening to them if I were you.
  5. I’d give Thomson a chance, but have a very low threshold for him being in the media talking up the Rangers.
  6. Manchester City play with no striker and are the best team in the world. Levein was a forward thinker.
  7. The only one I’m really interested in now is Levein. Anyone else is going to be a let down.
  8. I’m upset he’s leaving, he is my favourite ever Rovers manager. That doesn’t detract from the second half of last season’s record.
  9. I’d be mightily surprised if Spencer goes with him. Clubs in our league are also sniffing round him. Genuinely gutted to lost McGlynn, but I can understand why he’d want a move away. Better money, more security, I get it. My favourite ever Rovers manager. Look after him.
  10. Three year deal apparently. Big call for someone who has just won 3 in 21 or something.
  11. If you then get offered a massively improved contract and playing budget closer to your house, that would make you think twice.
  12. Just looking back at our fixtures this season and the games I attended. We obviously didn’t get to see any of last season, and then this year I have been in the ground for 1 (one) away win - Falkirk in the cup in November - and 1 (one) home win - Partick Thistle in September. This means since March 7th 2020, when we beat Forfar at home, I have witnessed 2 wins. Why TF am I still going?! I think I’ll patch it, for the good of the club.
  13. If he goes, as now looks likely, the board have absolutely fucked it. Sat on their hands until the last second and only made an offer once a better one had already come in. He was openly telling supporters at the POTY dance that him and Smith would’ve already been signed had a contact been put in front of them, ffs. Really not a good start to the new chairman‘s tenure and it leaves us scratching around in the dirt for a manager who isn’t going to be as good as the one we could’ve had. Great stuff.
  14. The financial offer he’s got from Falkirk will be sizeably bigger and it’s a chance to have a clean break after last season. That being said, you don’t imagine McGlynn has many years left before retirement, 5 max? He’s spent the last five years at us building a squad year on year. Falkirk are a basket case club where he could easily be out on his ear within 6 months if it doesn’t go well. All round fucking pish, but what can you do? Be keen to see if he can turn Brad McKay into a passable League 1 centre half.
  15. Ross Callachan a very weird example. Very good at Raith Rovers, Hamilton and now a mainstay of the County side that just finished in the top 6?
  16. Goodwillie was about 10 fucking minutes from signing for Falkirk before he signed for us ffs.
  17. You would drag your baws over broken glass for miles for a sniff at McGlynn. It’s apparently a straight choice between you lot and us now. Be v sad if he were to leave us for you.
  18. 1,000,000% this. Really sums up exactly how I feel about it. I like John McGlynn. I like going to watch his teams. I can see what we are trying to do and I like being a part of that. It’s a bit bigger than just the football.
