  1. Facebook must be wrong. A glitch maybe? Yes that's it. A glitch. To me this goal is the Loch Ness Monster, the yeti and the tooth fairy all rolled into one. Heard all these stories about it but of course I missed the game and have never seen any footage of it anywhere since. Pretty sure David Hopkin scored for Morton that day.
  2. That must've been some scene at the maternity ward when Sandra from Accounts pushed out a dachshund.
  3. Do female scheme goblins call each other "Mrs" in real life or is it just on Facebook? Odd behaviour.
  4. Barnsley to appoint Jack Ross, but only if they loan him back to us for the rest of the season.
  5. Don't they mean they like to see the Jack Ross style at their midden?
  6. I'd second this. When my mates and I went to Dublin we stopped off in Belfast for a few hours on the way there and back. Had some cracking pints in the Crown on our outward journey and had a nice meal upstairs on our return. Both times were quite quiet but not a bad thing at all. We weren't in Belfast for very long but did the bus tour which I'd thoroughly recommend. There's an option to do a tour at Stormont which we didn't end up doing in the end due to time constraints, so I don't know if it's any good or not.
  7. Is it just me or has it gotten noticeably and suddenly shite since just after Christmas? Johnny gets shot by a lovely old man with PTSD, Linda holds a lifelong grudge. Her husband gets shot by some wee armed robber dick, and not only do they give him a job they put a roof over his head. Eh?
  8. To their credit they did secure a 33% sell-on clause for John McGinn.
  9. Happy birthday GiGi! Was your request granted?
  10. Willie Miller is an appalling pundit, and is even worse on comms. My heart sinks when I hear he's featuring on BBC's coverage in some capacity. Stephen McGinn scores our second yesterday, Miller pipes up, "Goal for Falkirk!" Followed by a blundering, sleep-inducing description of the goal. "It was an eh...cross, the corner eh, came in to eh..." spit it out Willie for goodness sake.
  11. https://www.stmirren.com/news/club/all-news/1276-statement-from-jack-ross Just the boss saying what a great job we're doing.
  12. D'Angelo Barksdale and Frank Subotka have appeared in it already!
  13. So because Falkirk are based centrally, does that mean they get more decisions from referees than the east coast teams?
  14. I'm more confident about this season after the post-Thistle recovery and signs that our transfer business is far from done. That said, and at the risk of sounding like a doom merchant, I just think Falkirk will be just too strong for us today. I'll go for 2-1 Falkirk with Loy and Austin to score. Reilly for us. I'd take a draw at the moment but think Falkirk will push United all the way for the title so we shouldn't be too despondent if we don't pick up any points today.
  15. Just listened to Jack's post-match interview after the 0-0 draw with Alloa, which can be found here: https://www.stmirren.com/news/matchday/match-reaction/974-reaction-jack-ross-on-draw-with-alloa "Seething" wouldn't be an unfair assessment of Jack's demeanour there. He's clearly angry with the performance, raging about the injury to Kyle Magennis and perhaps more worryingly, pissed off about not being able to bring more players in. A tad concerning, with shades of Alex Rae's post match interview after we lost to Hamilton in the Betfred Cup last year. Did anyone head along to the game today? Was the performance simply down to players trying to avoid injury and/or pre season apathy, or something else at play?
  16. I just can't see Jack moving to Dundee at all. Although it would be a step up, it would be a marginal one. For me it's just not big enough a move to justify the risk of leaving a club at which he has been and could still be very successful. That's before you look at whether Dundee could stump up the required level of compensation to prise him away. I'm resigned to losing him sooner rather than later, but not this soon. I think that exit route (on current career trajectory at least) would far more likely be a Hearts, Hibs or an Aberdeen or England (circa League 1) rather than a Dundee/Dundee United. This is all before you factor in whether Jack Ross is sincere in his commitment to building a successful squad and club and returning St Miren to the top flight. For what it's worth, I think he is sincere in this regard. Just as an aside, is there anything to substantiate the "boyhood Dundee fan" claim? Just curious as I've not heard it mentioned.
  17. What I'd give for something similar to happen to Hampden.
  18. Imagine pawning your engagement ring to go on a night out. A night out in your shitty local with some wee Grange Hill reject wank and your mood-killer husband. Suffering Christ.
  19. I love how 2017 has largely consisted of Danny Dyer going daft at his insurance company.
