  1. Based on what I've seen so far he's the best keeper we've had since Nicky Walker and was top of my list to retain. Assumed he'd be off to somewhere like Hearts or Aberdeen in the summer but maybe being guaranteed #1 here is something.
  2. More hygenic than giving your Mrs a chilli dog I suppose Said earlier in the thread, but a couple of those packets of cooked chicken strips out the supermarket, cover them in various spices including chilli powder, shove them under the grill for a couple of minutes each side, bung some cheese and jalapenos on top, back under the grill and let it melt, can even top with bacon if need be. A glorious gooey mess. Also, low carb if that's still a thing.
  3. Aren't those just lateral thinking puzzles, I quite like them. The pictures of people as kids thing does puzzle me tho, especially when combined with the thing that annoys me most about the facebook setup at the moment, which is when person X that I know likes a post by person Y that I don't know, don't want to know, and will never know that it shows up in my news feed. So because all profile pictures are public, I'm seeing a stream of grainy photos from the 70s and 80s of kids, making me feel like an absolute beast. (more so than normally)
  4. The games last year were all 9.30 on the East coast of America, so it should be 2.30 here. the Bills / Jags game was an hour earlier in the UK because we put our clocks back one Sunday earlier than the Americans and the game was that Sunday.
  5. There were 5 that left to other SPL clubs that summer. A small hint is one is our current manager.
  6. I thought my new house in Sanctuary was quite reasonable as far as post-apocalyptic shacks go. Pool table (with no cues or balls), jukebox, TV (doesn't work), lavvy (not plumbed), pictures of old folk on the wall, as well as a flag and a laser tripwire (not pictured) with a spiked pole with skulls stationed outside. Was definitely easier to build on foundations, went 3x3 for that then the wall and roof pieces fitted easily, although I did have to add a half set of stairs up to the door.
  7. 5/10, knew the French, and Adele ones, was about 99% sure on the NZ one unless it was like Berwick upon Tweed being further north than Larkhall with the angle of the country Middle East geography seems to come up lots in this quiz (said the same about South American geography)
  8. He was captain for the first 2 games then an 85th minute sub in the 3rd. Would have thought the Aussies would have been pretty pish to come 3rd in a group with UAE, Jordan, and Vietnam.
  9. yeah, the numbers are the % chance of a successful shot, if you use the left stick to flick between body parts -or right stick to flick between enemies- then R2 to select, then X to fire, or X then square quickly if critical meter is filled to do a critical shot. (don't know what Xbox / PC equivalents are, sorry) Obviously headshots do most damage but have the lowest % chance -until you get max affinity perk with one of the characters- but you can shoot off limbs / disarm folk by targeting those parts. Also you only get a limited number of shots in this method as they cost action points and you have to wait for that to refill before you can use it again, higher damage weapons might only get you one or two shots in VATS.
  10. Press L1 on PS4 ( genuinely can't believe you haven't pressed L1, even by accident). Also if you get the first Intelligence perk it shows you the way to your nearest quest target (although it isn't always the quickest way)
  11. Like the good old John Lambie pre internet days when you'd turn up and have to ask who the number 5 was as you'd missed the teams being announced and he'd signed on the Friday night too late to make the papers. Hopeful Stevo moving on means that there's at least one more incoming, even if it's just using what we have left over from his wages due minus his payoff to get Erskine in during this window.
  12. I had one last thing to do when someone mentioned slaughtering everyone in Diamond City to finish, though Ellie Perkins plus the kids (obvs) are invincible. That last thing was chucking a grenade into the middle of this lot.
  13. Dolan was a good defensive midfielder, think his tally of 2 goals in one season for us- both belters- was his career best. He was definitely on the way down when he came to us, having been one of the 6 (I think) players Lambie signed that season who had played for Livi the year before and then been binned when they got promoted. We let him go when we got promoted and he retired. Cerny O'Donnell Craigan Archibald ATS Higginbotham Osman Bannigan Hardie Grady Doolan subs: Fox, Paterson, Dumbuya, Rowson, Lawless, Burns, Taylor (took me a while to work out this wasn't Stuart when I read Reid's team)
  14. Forgot about the 2 clubs per season rule regarding Stevenson so it's us or Ayr. Think it's a bit of a silly rule although it did allow for a laugh at Morton last year.
  15. Watched that review, a decent bit of entertainment, there were some absolutely terrible batting performances from both sides but the Kiwis normally found Cairns or Vettori to smash 50 and get them out of it, England couldn't quite do that. Read ducking under Cairns' slower ball and getting bowled is well remembered but I'd forgotten about Parore leaving one off Caddick that hit 3/4 of the way up middle. Also well summed up was England's pre-Fletcher selection policy Team for the first Test Butcher, Stewart, Hussain, Thorpe, Ramprakash, Habib (debut), Read (debut), Caddick, Tudor, Mullally, Tufnell 2nd Test- Headley in for the injured Tudor 3rd test- Hussain injured, Butcher takes over captain, Atherton in. Habib binned, Hick in. 35 year old Such in for Mullally Atherton, Butcher, Stewart, Thorpe, Hick, Ramprakash, Read, Caddick, Headley, Such, Tufnell 4th test was full on England 1990s cricket selection mania- 2 of the selection panel (Gooch and Gower) removed, and as such... Butcher dropped despite being captain last match. Hick dropped because he was Hick after one match where he only got one innings. Read dropped and Stewart takes the gloves. Maddy and Giddins in for debuts, Irani brought in after 3 years, with Mullally back in for Headley Atherton, Maddy, Hussain, Thorpe, Stewart, Ramprakash, Irani, Caddick, Mullally, Tufnell, Giddins I think that typical shambles quite endeared me to English cricket in the 1990s, if they were the more well drilled team of today, though still not world beaters by any stretch, I think I'd have adopted my typical attitude to English sports teams of hoping they'd get pumped.
  16. I think Dumbuya and Elliott will be cover for left back if Booth gets injured. Could probably do with an alternative to Pogba up front if Doolan gets injured and would also allow Nisbet to go on loan, I sometimes forget we still have Duggan but I think he'll be moved on permanently to QP or someone else at that level in this window. No idea what the deal is with Stevenson, I'd assumed his loan with Ayr was the trailer to a permanent move there but he hasn't set the heather on fire at all and I can't imagine other clubs are queueing up to take him so he might be back for the rest of the season. If we get Erskine in and Fraser / Edwards back then that's a lot coming back in midfield.
  17. I was in the exact same boat as you in terms of what I'd played, I'd recommend you get it- for me the main difference from the way I played Skyrim was the combat system i.e. there are guns- I know you could use fireballs etc in Skyrim but the range of weapons is much greater, especially when taken together with VATS (bullet time type targeting system). Similar in that you can just wander about discovering locations, enemies, and loot, or you can plough through the main story or side quests, so you can go at your own pace. I think the perks system in this when you level up is better as well.
  18. We've added up and coming youngster Ryan Stevenson from Ayr United as of today.
  19. That was the last series before Duncan Fletcher came in and one of his things was that everyone should be able to bat. At Test level this is generally standard now, you get very few absolute joke #11s, even Finn and Anderson for England both have a 50 to their name. Think the kiwi Martin was the last one I can think of.
  20. Having never played 3, just looked at the radio station playlist, didn't realise half the songs from 4 were in 3 as well- ok you don't play it for the songs but that's a bit weak.
  21. Yep, and Alan Mullally before that.
  22. Excellent news, I know it's a bit of a cliche but his game isn't really based on pace or strength so I'm convinced he won't drop off as he gets older and there must be a good chance he plays out his whole senior career with us now. I was always reasonably confident he'd sign, he could probably have gone to another Prem club for a bit more money but he's got the chance to set all kinds of recent goalscoring records here and he'd be no more likely to get a game anywhere else at this level- and he'll get a testimonial as well. Cerny and Osman would be next on the wishlist, think we'll struggle there though.
