  1. Jack, I don't know how many countless thousand times you've been told this, but the manager is working with a shit load of haddies signed by Findlay. Expecting him to come in and turn Ryan Conroy into N'golo Kante is a fucking ridiculous mindset. He cannot transform this shite into anything other than what they are. Bang on about changing the manager as much as you want, I'll judge him when he's his own team on the park and we can ship out the dossers and empty jerseys masquerading as a team that we're currently subjected to. Regarding the other posts of the shite behind the scenes. I'm just fucking sick of it now. Whatever the f**k is going on, we're not gonna sell a lot of season tickets with all the negativity surrounding the club and the way this season is petering out. A positive statement would be lovely but I get the impression that PH would rather just let things pan out whichever way they do than put his head above the parapet.
  2. Two things; Cheers to big stretch for posting about the meeting. Yep, it’s not palatable but PH won’t want to lose income so it’s probably best placed with him. Until there are viable options to have club and stadium together under an alternative umbrella, we’re stick with what we’ve got. This boy doesn’t want to lose money.
  3. We really don't need any further drama off the field. It's a bit grim that Willie has resigned. The intimation from the trust statement suggests votes are going to be taken at the forthcoming meeting. I'm not sure about the significance of this but it's clear that there's an issue at board level. All I've heard about PH is that he's an ego. I don't mind an ego as long as he's got the clubs best interests at heart. I guess this Trust meeting will clarify the thoughts of Willie on whether this is the case. I'm going to miss the meeting as I'm away from home. Be grateful if someone could post the gist of the meeting on here.
  4. The league doesn't lie. Alloa were clearly better over the season than us or Brechin. I'm sure Alloa fans will be utterly gutted. However, it's not a massive surprise given their form in the last couple of months. Whether they intentionally took their foot off the pedal or not, they didn't have form on their side and that's not an on/off switch. I'd rather have got rid of Alloa. They'll be sniffing about at the top end next season, where I hope we'll be. I'm sure Goodwin will have learned some difficult lessons in the last two months.
  5. What a lot of bollocks. The play off system makes the end of the season exciting at both ends of the league. The games themselves have been good viewing and have lots of neutrals tuning in to Alba yesterday. Brechin's achievement is in no way diminished. Them's the rules at the start and everyone knows it. The only way to guarantee promotion is by going out and winning. Everything else is a lottery. Brechin held their nerve over 4 games to go up. They deserve it. Even more bollocks. Alloa deserve what they got. They failed to beat Brechin over two cup finals. They've took their foot of the gas in the last few games of the season proper and have paid the price. They went into the play off out of form and it bit them on the arse. Alloa were the second best team over the course of the season, but prizes aint given out for second place, everybody knows that. Yesterdays game was a good advert for the league. The quality may not be the best but there is a lot of excitement. The play off system is a massive part of that excitement. Talk of hollow victories etc is utterly moronic.
  6. For me, Goodwin is your problem. You looked better when he went off yesterday - seemed like the fear had been lifted from your players. He's clearly done as a player and seems more intent in showing he's a hard man than actually playing any football. Alloa seem to have gone into a bit of a decline since he took over. Strange as you'd think he has the attributes to be a good manager and you've clearly got a decent squad. I fully expect Alloa, Airdrie and one of Peterhead and Brechin to be contesting the promotion play off places. But there is a real danger that Goodwin could singlehandedly ruin your chances.
  7. Glossy paper is an absolute necessity. No way you ran a program, heretic!
  8. #neverforget #september12wasworsethanseptember11 #justiceforfalky Fucking clown.
  9. 48 hours since the game and he still requires a prescription for valium. Absolutely hilarious.
  10. Quality attempt at backtracking after the dawning realization that you too had made a c*nt of it. I don't think there will be an offer but if there is and it's £50k then Dunfy will accept it. Foolish not to IMO.
  11. I did get the part where you made a total c*nt of yourself though.....
  12. He's scored 14 goals in 42 appearances, he's out of contract at the end of the season and at almost 23 he's not exactly a prospect Still worth waaaaaaay more than £50K though.......
  13. Buchanan is far better than BRE. I thought he was alright until he started to try and play football, which he did every game. Be prepared for him to go on a "mazy" round one player, get dispossessed then you're a goal down.
  14. Yeah.....and Morton, and Ayr, and.....well....anyone in our league. Fascinating concept that.
  15. Mind when he signed? Roasters saying it was a decent signing who'd make a good coach......how's that gone for y'all?
  16. Think of all the cash you've spunked to finish 7th in the third tier. wow.
  17. Your own club was once synonymous with financial mismanagement, coming withing 24 hours of going bust. If every club who were driven into debt by callous owners were chucked out, there wouldn't be much of a league. I've outlined my points quite clearly. You've countered with nothing. That'll be my last on this.
  18. Said it before fella, you really should call a halt to your posts. You're thick as f**k. Clearly unable (or more likely, unwilling) to understand any of my points. Electing a village outfit with no history of playing in Scottish football was deemed preferable to shunting >1500 paying fans out of Scottish football leaving a town with a unusable monument to the stupidity of the SPL's stadium criteria. I'd wager your opinion is heavily weighted by your perception of us as "hu*s without the busfare". Pointless arguing with you.
