  1. That was a right cheek to score a goal like that
  2. It might be half decent as an election slogan but it does nothing for what should be his greater purpose. He needs to convince a decent amount of those 25% that indy is better for them, not that they will be somehow banished.
  3. Taken with wine and cheese, each and every one of these banana peppers was a tingling treat. Alas, Simpsons in Inverness stopped stocking them and our world is diminished.
  4. You've touched upon a curiosity that seems to be unique to football management. I've been managed by and managed oddball characters but there has never been the luxury associated with the term "frozen out". In the real world, every worker gets deployed to make some sort of contribution. Football seems different but foolish and doomed is any manager that denies himself the opportunity to utilise all of the resources at his disposal. Unless he's afflicted by some of the interesting characteristics that are obvious in his paternal heritage or is otherwise influenced by strong family guidance, I see no reason why Roddy shouldn't be more prominent.
  5. 2/3 weeks in human time, in Roddy years that tickle of sinusitis is very probably season ending. The serious question remains what needs to change such that we can actually get the ball in the box with some intent?
  6. I don't know the detail but it was easy to guess from the reports at the time what went on. I can't remember to what extent reporting restrictions were lifted during the trial but protecting vulnerable people should remain as something that trumps any need for prurience. @highlandmac I thought the tattoo parlour bit was included to help the viewer visualise the violence of the wolf thing he's got going on and how that contrasts to his hippy trippy persona.
  7. Aye OK but you are a young man and she isn't, whatever the letter of the law as you see it, there is a way to behave that makes for a more civilised day
  8. The undernoted advice would seem to be at odds with your understanding ... you should give way to pedestrians crossing or waiting to cross a road into which or from which you are turning.” From January 2022 a pedestrian waiting to cross should be given priority. Previously, drivers were told to give way to pedestrians if they ‘have started crossing and traffic wants to turn into the road’. The change also appears in the revised Rule 170. Rule H2 also advises drivers on pedestrian priority at zebra crossings. Rule 195 goes into more detail and tells us that drivers: MUST give way when a pedestrian has moved onto a crossing SHOULD give way when a pedestrian is waiting to cross
  9. I'd have to disagree and in fact you've answered your unfair question. There's aspects to the case that we don't need to know and there will no doubt be areas that the BBC legal department wouldn't sign up to, so with that in mind I can't see where the lazy lazy is justified. Knowing nothing of the despicable behaviour at the time, I found it curious that Avis / Gordon was given what seemed to be preferential treatment by our local council and Thomas Prag came over as all the idiot he appears to be in the piece. There's something about small town Inverness that disturbs me in the context of this and beyond.
  10. I would think it's fair to say that there is an air of the hyperbolic amongst our online Inverness contingent but this fixture provides an opportunity that could anchor our run in. A home win and a favour in Glasgow would be the ideal scenario that could tip our fortunes, if not to the wholly positive, perhaps to a consolidation. Thing is, how to translate the stolid to something that is incisive? I have great sympathy with Duncan in as much as one by one every crucial and creative influencer has been denied to him. Wotherspoon has been the biggest loss and an out of form and now injured Shaw seems destined to be remembered as a shooting star. There are others. Who do we turn to and set out to insipe what is now the most significant three points of the season? Is it time for the elusive, the enigmatic Roddy Macgregor to justify the harbouring hopes of some home observers? Apologies to Arbroath readers, I'm coming to this with a hint of highland crisis so this opening post is home heavy.
  11. I'm predisposed to prurience so I hope Jonathan pipes up
  12. I see the latest Survation poll predicts that a mandate will be obtained to start the process of returning Scotland's powers previously given away to Westminster.
  13. That could be a copy and paste of much of the last few months. We just don't have the flair to make the difference when it comes to the fine margins our style of play requires.
  14. That Montrose defence doesn't look the most robust I've ever seen
  15. Thanks for sharing that link, it made quite disgusting and I thought, disturbing reading. Despite that, giving air to the corrupt stench is a good thing.
  16. I thought sticking your foot in between the kicker and the ball was a foul in favour of the kicker.
  17. Mckay starting instead of Pepple doesn't please this character on twitter and the opposite was true last week.
  18. I'm not complaining about the Daily Mail and you know it
  19. I'm assuming that your link is one that many would not choose to encourage. As such I'll not click and I think it's bad form to offer it.
  20. Contravention of the rarely used law covering cantantes stultus canticum dum ambulant?
  21. Does Jeffrey Donaldson have a P&B account? Maybe he deleted it?
  22. It'll be ascension day you'll be thinking about and he hung about for forty days, hence the phrase stinking to high heaven
