  1. Nah, umpteen good proddy schools in Ayr and prestwick and only Queeny for the greeny's. Keeping "them" well away from the rest who live in the 21st century. I'd like to think we're JKL bound. I'll shake some hands at the 1060 anyway and make it happen.
  2. Dammit, technology fail, tried posting Craig David's classic "Walking Away" - didn't work That on repeat + SSN on the telly would be a decent alternative to being sat at work just now
  3. Just had a wee look on that Rangers Media site, check out the dumbstruck responses to DavyBoyBlue's reasoned post (around half way down) that life without rangers might not be all bad (sorry posting in phone and don't think I can shorten the full address): http://forum.rangersmedia.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=213093&pid=1059839641&st=0entry1059839641
  4. I agree, thought one or two of the new tunes sounded good live but others I felt didn't stand up against their older songs, which were, as always, excellent. Saying that it's a different sound on the new album so maybe they'll evolve live the more they play. I was also a bit disappointed they only played for an hour...they've 3 albums and an EP to choose from. I love the Grand Ole Opry. I love how when things go quiet you can hear the ding of the bar till opening and an old dear asking for £2.40
  5. Me too...they've played some US dates in 2012, and but for a few alterations to the set lists (HWAP, ticks and leeches, AND parabol/parabola a couple of times) they're STILL playing the same few songs they've been doing since 10,000 Days came out. And I liked that album, I really did, but Lateralus at the time almost changed the way I thought about music. I really liked ISIS. I was disappointed they finished up, but with Wavering Radient they, for me, ended on a massive high note (not literally!).
  6. I love this band. Seeing them at Grand Ol Opry next week. I was down in London last year to see Mogwai and TS supported. They were good, but they seemed terrified in front of 5000 Mogwai fans. They played a late night gig later that night in Camden, I think, in a room of probably less than 100. The vocal monitor was duff so James sang most of the gig on the floor. Some older wrecked boy tried to fight him and another guy around song 3, all hell nearly broke loose but the aggressor was swiftly launched by their heavy, and from then on the gig was totally charged and infinitely better than their support slot at Mogwai.
  7. I absolutely love pans labyrinth. And it was kind of through that I found my favourite film, let the right one in. Went to see the girl with the dragon tattoo last night, really enjoyed it. Haven't read the book or seen the original but it was a good watch.
  8. For some reason id not looked in this thread, as the title didn't suggest to me what it's actually about...which in a way was good because I've now been able to plough through umpteen pages of sheer gold. Honestly this has made my day. I think Graeme LeSauxdomy is my favourite
  9. I emailed my analysis results to another engineer earlier to which he replied 'I'm pleased with that'. Thanks to p&b I burst out laughing because I immediately imagined him just emailing me back a Christian bale or him Jeffries 'pleasing' meme. I think these should definitely be introduced into the work place.
  10. Same here, I'd be interested in playing sometime if numbers/time etc allowed. Primarily because I sacked 11s a couple of months ago because of recurring injury and don't intend starting again until preseason, the lack of any kicking a baw is killing me though!
  11. Congratulations, what are you going to study? Ive been granted a place there too, though Ive chosen to defer one year as Id be a mature student and need more saving time!
  12. Only Charlton let me down drawing at home on a 5 team 'banker' line of Arsenal, Brechin, Livi, Charlton and I can';t even remember the fifth one but it came in! May have been Sellick. Backed Imperial Commander on Friday so can't complain.
  13. Alloa Montrose and Rochdale. Makes you wonder what's the point! Actually I had forrest - swansea draw as well...late Forrest winner. I was well and truly beaten this week.
  14. Dang, I love seeing stuff like that but I cant access youtube from my current location, will have to wait patiently until the weekend. The last promo video I think that Itruly loved (bearing in mind theres about a 9/10 year gap of me not really seeing any of the wrestling) was steve austins pre-survivor series 1997 video for his match with bret hart...the one shot in black and white with some kind of industial back drop, with the line, 'pink tights...what the hell is that all about? This ain't no ballet class....'
  15. THEE best pop Ive ever seen. I remember the HHH ladder match (some of his matches with the Rock while they were both still on the climb were incredible) but that time when Jericho interrupted the Rock for me is still one of the most outstanding wrasslin segments I've seen.
  16. I too am not a great fan of the new biffy stuff. My mates and I saw them at liquid rooms in edinburgh a few years back and they played a few songs of Puzzle which was some time before it came out. And I have to say there and then the songs didnt quite stand up to the rest of the set. In any case, fair play to them because theyve plugged away for years and are getting to where they want to be. They're all good lads. HUNDRED REASONS. Shit man, I didnt even realise they were still about! I saw them play QMU possibly 7/8 years ago, and they were superb live. If they're still about then is there any chance My Vitriol are still about?? Theyve never officially split/finished! Saw AIC the other week at Barrowlands and it lived up to everything I wanted it to be. The new guy DuVall, well, he can never be Staley, but he pulls of the harmonies with Cantrell and fits in with the overall way of the band very well I think. Of the recent reformations, AIC and Take That are the only two that have convinced me! Off to London to see Them Crooked Vultures on Dec 18th.
  17. Id be astonished if Ayr were to vote in favour of Livi. Those who have cleaned up BB's legacy would surely be contradicting the measures they had to take years ago to keep ayr united in existance. It'd surely also be a slap in the face to Clyde who have also taken the hit to ensure a club with a future without relying on shysters who for some reason seem to line up to take on Livi.
  18. A word of warning, anyone who is going to uni to study engineering can look forward to four/five years of zero female interaction because girls, attractive ones anyway, don't do engineering, definitely not aeronautical anyways. They should well have put that in the prospectus. I plan to go back next year to do Physio at caley if I can afford it, and that genuinely has nothing to do with wanting to massage girls, honest guv.
