Pie and Bovril league.
I'll join once it's closer to the season starting and there's been more signings made. Top 40k finish last season and hoping to do a bit better this year.

That was my favourite FM, racked up a stupid amount of hours on it. Tempted to give it another go now, whilst waiting for the new one.
Fairly sure this is the game that my old flatmate and I spent about an overall over 100 hours playing on a joint game. Ended up in 2023 or something with Kaiserslautern (me) and Ross County the two biggest clubs in the world

Wait did they only start building the stage this morning? Surely not. Few of my mates are in Glasgow for this - bit of a shitter travelling all that way, paying for trains and a hotel only for it to be cancelled for a pathetic reason.
EDIT - apparently cancelled due to Pedro Caixinha saying there are no more Green Days allowed in Glasgow.

That or "don't take the bus to the station, I'll give you a lift in", only to end up running late and having me sweat about missing my train / coach. My mum is awful for the latter, where if a train station is 15 mins away, she'll leave at 6:03 for a 6:15 train, usually ending up stuck behind a tractor, horse box or Sunday driver.
This x 1000.
Yesterday I had the dentist at half 8. Was offered a lift half way which would leave me a half hour walk at about 8ish. Decided against it and walked the hour walk. I was bang on time for the dentist while she was 10 minutes late for her work.

Good post Ally and one which sums up the situation well. Weirdly enough I just saw it on Twitter and come on here to read it all over again
Really poor signing from City. I wouldn't want him anywhere near Cowden

Started to watch Riviera last night. About 2 minutes in she asks "who's that?" when a guy appeared on screen. Literally the first time he'd been on screen how the hell am I meant to know?
She then sat on Whatsapp messaging her pals while the story continued. About 3/4 of the way through the episode she says "oh so are they all brother and sisters?"
Considering they were at the funeral of their Dad about 10 minutes ago then I'm going to wager that they are related somehow.

The House. Last time I let my fiance pick a film. Will Ferrell ans Amy Poelher star in a comedy about starting an illegal casino in a mates house.
3/10. Laughed a few times.0 -
Mount Pleasant finished tonight on sky 1. Fantastic finale. Gutted there will be no more.

A blonde weegie walks into a dry cleaners and places a dress on the counter.
"A'll be back the morra fir that if that's alright like?
The dry cleaner was clearly confused - "come again?" he asked
"Nah this time it's just mayonnaise"

I'm part of a pod of 6. 1 other guy and 4 women. The guy is sound despite not being a football fan.
The women individually are grand but are a nightmare for the rest of the day. One detests any form of swearing (words like crap and bloody aren't allowed) which is a serious problem for me as I'm a bit like Father Jack at times.

I may be in be minority here but I'm unconvinced by Stevie May. His goal scoring record has been dire, he could drift out of games a lot of what I remember him, and whilst he's a decent enough SPFL player spending £300,000 on someone who seems permanently injured because he had one ok season a couple of years ago feels risky.
Hope to be proved very wrong if he does sign for us.Bit harsh to say his goal scoring record is dire. Going by the ever reliable Wiki he scored 34 goals in almost 80 matches for St Johnstone before 7 in 39 for Sheff Wed. Preston he's been injured for the majority of his time.
The English Championship is a totally different style of play for the SPFL top flight. In his whole career he's playing 180 games and scored 84 goals which is basically a goal every 2 matches. I'd say he's about Adam Rooney's level so would be an excellent signing.

I warmed to the Welsh and Irish teams coming into the competition after our trip to Bala last season which was outstanding. I still talk to their manager from time to time on twitter, a good guy.
I'm not sure about them receiving a bye to later rounds, but European competition dictates that I guess.
Colt teams I don't think add anything really, and falling in midweek it's a fairly nothing game. With our great League Cup run last season it's forgotten slightly that we had a good run in this competition too, reaching the last 8 again and it's one where historically we've done well.
Is it not because the opening round is a midweek match so they get a bye until the Saturday only rounds?

Does anybody know why things don't appear to have worked out so well for Stewart at Birmingham?
This was posted by Cowden Cowboy in our forum -
"Greg Stewart joins Aberdeen on season long loan from Birmingham. Good to see Greg back in Scotland - never understood why Birmingham signed him as they seemed to have no idea how to use him. They played with a big target man and relied on hard work and power rather than any footballing ability. They seemed to think Greg was some kind of a winger and then spent their time getting him to track back rather than set him free in any playmaking capacity"
It's pretty accurate. He wasn't used right at City but at Aberdeen I expect him to flourish. Give him freedom to roam and he'll be one hell of a signing. Make him stick to the wing and do a lot of defensive work and he'll be less effective.

Looks like a done deal
Fantastic. Will certainly be heading to Pittodrie when I've a free weekend if confirmed.
Must point out that article says -
"The 27-year-old left Dens Park for the Championship club last year and scored six goals in 26 appearances, but could not secure a regular starting place."
Greg didn't score a goal for Birmingham.

People who don't understand the concept of how a ticket barrier works. You tend to need to actually have your ticket in your hand for it to work. Twice in the last few months I've been stuck behind somebody who has gotten to the gate before getting their wallet/purse out for the ticket.

Ordabasy Shymkent or NK Siroki Brijeg.

Excellent news for Aberdeen that McInnes is staying. Now it's time to get some new signings in - with the money from Hayes would they go for Lindsay at Partick (unless Oxford beat you to it)? Greg Stewart would be a fantastic signing.
As daft as it sounds it's actually quite an exciting time for Aberdeen fans!

She had to return some clothes last week and I had a day off. Had an appointment at Specsavers in town so volunteered to return the items. Was told there was a bag of clothes in the hall with the receipts inside. I grab the bag and return the clothes before returning home with my new lenses in the same bag with the receipts.
Now I put this bag on a chair in the living room and forgot about it. Now I've had a text to ask why I didn't return a couple of the items (they were in a separate bag that I wasn't told about) and that she can't find the receipts. Apparently my lenses are sitting out on the chair but the bag itself has disappeared.
So basically she's binned the bag with the receipts in it and is now blaming me for not returning the items that I didn't know needed returned.
