  1. This. Oliver wasn’t a Jags fan but became one, and invested a fortune of his own earned wealth into us Lambie wasn’t a Jags fan but became one and became our greatest manager ever McParland wasn’t a Jags fan but became one after he took us to our greatest moment ever. Im fine with the narrative being Weir had a soft spot for us and fell in love with us later What we have now is history being rewritten and it’s disrespectful to Colin Weir, the club and it’s fans
  2. I’m assuming you knew him as most of your 7 posts have been about him
  3. His point is that instead of being classed as a benefactor who took a liking to our youth set up and decided to help, before falling in love with them then buying us, he’s now being lauded as number one lifelong fan, when no one seems to recall him prior to his win. He put money in especially to the youth set up which should be lauded but let’s not try to change history and make him into something he wasn’t
  4. I have a digital copy, but no I didn’t notice any pre-lottery win pictures of him at Firhill. Maybe he was in the Express or in those days the Aggro and hid from photographers to avoid a 4am visit from C Divisions finest
  5. There should be about the same chance as Caldwell being inducted into the hall of fame as that going up in the JLS. A lot of Princess Di syndrome about these days
  6. On point 8. If this is the case that could mean that the fans or TFE would need to come up with 40% of the value of shares and land (Total rumored to be around the £5 million mark), which could be £2 million
  7. I don’t believe the plan was for more investment. He bought the club, he was handing it to the fans, and the fans were running it. or was there another plan?
  8. Mrs Low holds all the aces now Does she hold the cheque book?
  9. Lows involvement with the club Low appointing Caldwell Gary Caldwell Caldwell’s disgraceful dumping of Dolan in his testimonial year and announcing it on Twitter prior to Doolan having the chance of informing his family, all sanctioned by the board at the time.
  10. From memory the initial investment was £750000 which cleared debt, and him and his wife were given shares, some of which went to PTFC Trust. Weir academy was approx £150000 a year. The purchase of 55% of the club would be at approximately £2000000 given the “book” value of club, with another £1000000 for Propco (bing and main stand). So in total close to £5 million. I believe it was Beattie that approached him to get involved, and again I don’t know of anyone who went to Firhill with him prior to his generous gift.
  11. My fear is the club could be in limbo whilst any Will is discussed and maybe challenged over the next few months, which includes his 65% stake in the club and 50% stake in the ground, plus obviously 3 black cats. As we are 3 days away from entering a transfer window any potential funding for this from either Colin or 3BC won’t happen now. My fear is his stake gets sold off to someone else to fund the estate to the family
  12. Firstly thoughts with the family, but you’ve touched on a very valid point. Dependent on how far the transfer of both club and ground are, plus the families desire to follow Colin’s wishes to gift both club and ground to the fans, or own it themselves or sell it, this could get complicated. Especially if he’s not been in the best of health for a while and potentially his decisions could be challenged due to this.
  13. He seems to have gotten his claws into our club, how did it go when he ran the Beanos
  14. For your 1st post on here, that’s incredible, but not in a good way. Archie as a player was a fans favorite and only left due to Collins coming in. Regardless of the league strength top 6 was fantastic. He signed some great players, he also signed some dross, as did Lambie. His relegation season was a shambles, but the players that were marquee signings that season just never performed, that and a bunch of long injuries set him up to fail. The return to Championship was poor, but I’d question whether he got the same financial backing Caldwell did, in fact I won’t question it I know he never. Archie done a hell of a lot of good for this club in all the roles he had, he never always got it right, but he got it right way more than he got it wrong.
  15. I think the club, management and players thought “well that’s it, it can’t get any better than this” and all momentum and fight disappeared
  16. This is what Goodwin does as a job, he self promotes himself as “the savior of clubs” protecting the fans from evil business men who have bought and paid for the clubs. He’s been involved and / or on the board with Stirling (Now effectively a bowling club), Dundee (fans sold up), Portsmouth (Fans sold up), Clyde and now us, whilst also tried to get involved in Rangers, Hibs, Hearts and Dunfermline. This has nothing to do with a want by the fans, this is because of a need by Goodwin
  17. TFE with 3 black cats having a final veto from what I’ve been told
  18. Only 268 people, that’s less than 10% of our home support (smaller percentage of our whole support) expressed an interest according to TFE, but he stated 71000 signed up for Stirling Albion takeover so the real figure may be in fact 4
  19. Clubs being run as a personal plaything for Low. She seems to call all the shots yet isn’t accountable (not being a director). If she’s not on the board or running the club why is she in the directors box at home and away games? Why is a 3BC (Ex) employee on the working group. Who selected the interim board and why? Who selected the working group and why? This “transfer” to the fans won’t happen in 14 weeks, it’ll be announced we’re not ready. Actually majority of fans don’t want this or her near this club. If it does go through expect us to have to find an owner within 12 months as it goes tits up and we edge towards admin or worse and the Guys from the Rocks come and sweep us up for a pittance.
