  1. Can only agree with what others have said, a winger’s the last thing we need and I say that as someone who isn’t a fan of Crawford playing wide, think he’s far more effective in the middle of the park. Forrest, McDaid & McGuffie are perfectly good options at this level, with Geggan & Crawford as alternatives to an out and out winger. Hell, McDaid & McGuffie can’t get much of a look in as it is, let alone needing someone else. Don’t know if I’d be too fussed at bringing anyone in. Obviously a smaller squad has risks re injuries but I think the consistency of selection from last season to this has been invaluable.
  2. My only issue with Geggan is his distribution which can be dreadful at times. I think eventually Smith & Harvie will be our first choice fullbacks. Thought Smith did very well on his “wrong” side today.
  3. Ant-Man & The Wasp was good fun. Nothing groundbreaking but very enjoyable.
  4. I think releasing bulls just behind an Orange Walk would improve the spectacle no end!
  5. Saw a trailer for The First Purge the other day. Slightly concerned it’ll give this clown ideas!
  6. I think I’d enjoy it more if I wasn’t quite so confused a lot of the time!
  7. Not necessarily. I live in Aberdeen and I read something that basically said the loan spell focussed McKenna and he realised he hadn’t been working hard enough. Basically we can take the credit for him becoming Scotland captain!
  8. Would agree with a lot of that. I thought the boy did quite well with the mannerisms and such but as it’s not Harrison Ford there’s always that wee voice in the back of your head going “that’s not Han Solo”! Couple of bits also grated with my geekier side and I don’t know where to begin with the hologram message.
  9. Crawford will be one of our most important players next year in my opinion. If he had a better end product he’d be at a bigger club than us.
  10. Funnily enough I stumbled on Highlander on Sky yesterday and just had to watch it. As others have said, woeful accents, dodgy acting, dated special effects but an absolute classic. Also provides the best intro to a song ever: .....water from a sprinkler. It also left a man’s decapitated body lying on the floor next to his own severed head. A head, which at this time, has no name. I know his name......
  11. Ant Man & The Wasp trailer looks good fun.
  12. Yep, think I’m going to have to go back to take it all in. It’s certainly non-stop!
  13. See Daryl & Carol have been wandering about Aberdeen today. Insert own Walking Dead joke here....
  14. Saw Black Panther today and whilst I enjoyed it I’m not quite getting the hype around it. Don’t think it’s anywhere near Marvel’s best.
  15. Lake Placid is a solid B-Movie type creature feature and Brendan Gleason is once again excellent in it.
  16. Has The Littlest Hobo been mentioned yet? Maybe tomorrow........
  17. I actually thought he might appear at the end when they said they’d sent the distress call on Leia’s private code or whatever and said they still had “friends” out there.
  18. Was that not in the hanger section? I thought it was a platform used for bringing fighters up for launch but wasn’t paying a great deal of attention.
  19. Also, it’s pretty much a throwaway line, and a minor spoiler so don’t read if you haven’t seen it yet.....(can’t put spoilers on my phone I don’t think) Minor spoiler.......... Admiral Ackbar! [emoji22] End of minor spoiler.
  20. Managed to get to the European Premiere at the Albert Hall in London yesterday. Takes a wee while to get going but once it does......ooft. Funny, surprising and ultimately satisfying.
