Managed to get to the European Premiere at the Albert Hall in London yesterday. Takes a wee while to get going but once it does......ooft. Funny, surprising and ultimately satisfying. -

I also went to the double bill of Kingsman last night but they announced at the end of the first one that the courier hadn't arrived with the second one so what was advertised as a double bill would in fact be a single!

Spider-Man Homecoming. Thought it was excellent. Got the tone just right. Funny as f**k, too.

Oh, undoubtedly. He, and to a lesser extent his psychotic robot butler, were the only vaguely watchable elements.

New Transformers. An utter incomprehensible mess. It's actually some achievement to make a film about massive shape shifting robots that dull! I presume they just dropped a humongous bag of cash on Anthony Hopkins' front door.

I suffered through Batman v Superman the other day and noticed that Bruce Wayne's parents were Maggie & Negan. Maggie's pregnant with Batman!

Don't get me wrong, in ma heart I'd be rooting for ma pals but in my pocket would be a betting slip with "ned" and "dug" written on it.

Yeah, I've been impressed with how they've handled the character. Always thought he was a bit meh in the comics but he's brilliant on screen. I guess partly good writing and partly Anthony Mackie's charisma.
