There was nothing wrong with the tackle. Steven had been skinning McCann a few times and Sexy Boy Lang decided to help out - he stepped in and took the ball first, Steven was collateral damage. He should feel lucky - it’s more physical contact with Lang than the rest of us will ever be allowed (bloody restraining order). Was interesting to note that Steven didn’t try to take on McCann again after that, he always passed it sideways.

Thanks for posting this. Some I remember, some I don’t (it must have been just before they switched all the roads round in the town centre and pedestrianised the High Street). Strangely the most strikingly memorable thing is the concrete bus stop as you come along upper Newmarket Street, with the odd rattly metal barrier at the front. The town really has always been a bit of a dump, hasn’t it?

I really disliked Bonnyrigg when we went last time - ridiculous slope, incredibly bumpy, tiny and really awkward to get in and out of. Was always going to be a difficult game because of that.

The only assessment I’d disagree with is Mackie. I thought he did ok being played in a very odd position. I think he’s a decent CB and a moderate FB, but he’s not a wing back or even less a left winger which was his general position yesterday.

All sorts wrong in that game that I couldn’t see at the time. It’s not a corner in the buildup to their goal. Long is clearly fouled as he’s trying to tap the ball over the bar. It’s not a penalty for me - it’s naive to have a handful of his shirt, but it’s outside the box and Coll is so theatrical in going down (sorry, professional….). But none of that should detract from the horror show that was that first half lineup.

This, absolutely. When we made our subs at half time I was trying to figure out who went off. At that point I suddenly realised McGinn had been on the park for 45 and I hadn’t noticed. Although at least part of that is due to not being able to see much at that ground!

Don’t agree with this. If the alternative is the club goes bust, what else can you do? They’ve been fucked over by owner and, as far as I’m concerned, the council in their design of the stadium.
