  1. Conceded 7 goals in pre-season last year...conceded only 4 this season in the same number of games. It's not all doom and gloom...after the defeat to Cowden in the Challenge cup the boys got amongst the goals scoring 8 in the following 3 games... I don't know why i even pointed this out because its all just hypothetical bullshit! Edited to add....Anything can happen...this is the bloody Rovers's we are discussing...world beaters one week...then getting dumped by Alloa the next..
  2. Well at least Try to bring back Hamed Sacko to get the team some goals? No? Haha!
  3. If however we lose to Cowden and Montrose..McGlynn will get sacked and Anelka brought back in???
  4. Another defeat...haha Definitely have the league sewn up!
  5. Gotten used to it now...but grown up with the White short and socks combo...97/98 season rovers had red socks and White shorts! Minted!
  6. Friendlies are for building up fitness and gaining some income. Course you want the team to win 5-0 in these games but that just leads to higher expectations. This team shouldn't be judged on pre-season. Strange how we only managed to arrange one home friendly actually... New strip looked quite good on...although the all blue again annoyed me. Blue top + White shorts and White socks please!
  7. Danny Thompson is the "trialist" tonight against Morcambe... Says he is a right back on the hearts website somewhere...
  8. States on his Wikipedia page that he has indeed signed a one year deal with Raith Rovers. New Tade?
  9. The only thing of note that Denis did was score a delightful goal up at Brechin.
  10. Also says in the press that the rovers away kit will be revealed next week and the story behind it. Although we already knew this...the word away was in the colour pink...
  11. Do we even know for sure that Maggie's will be the sponsor? Or was the poster typing with Tongue firmly in cheek?
  12. So enough again about the doom and gloom... Any word on the strips?
  13. I think Ice Hockey is one of North America's better sports! I've never actually watched the Flyers at all...but I've watched the Olympic Ice hockey a few times and it's pretty exciting! Plus they even fight! Far better than Baseball...glorified rounders that! Anyone for Basketball?? I saw the Lakers when I was in LA and it was brilliant!
  14. Tade is on St. Johnstone's radar according to the Courier.
  15. McGlynn states in the press that he hopes to bring in a couple of loan players before the start of pre season training. Woopee!
  16. £17 for an adult next season! £9 for concession! £20 for parent and child! Kind of expected this to be honest, only £1 more is better than I thought it would be.
  17. In other news, Paul Browne just arrived at my house with a parcel...for the wrong house! He put our parcel through our neighbours letterbox by mistake! Clearly as good at being a postie as he was at being a defender...haha!
  18. Yeah said in either last weeks press or the week before that Bert was still in Negotiations with the club. Hopefully he will sign. Easily one of McGlynn's best signings to date. Immense!
  19. I think it's a good move, especially if that means we could possibly move for some loanees. Having a young back up keeper is better than throwing in a young defender or whatever. Like I said before most teams this season will probably have similar types of squad in terms of size and overall ability. Although with Dundee resigning Douglas, Weston and McKeown they do look rather solid at the back. But then again we still have McGurn, Ellis and hopefully Bert (if he agrees a new deal)
  20. So McGlynn to go with 13 senior players next season and 6 youth players including Ross Laidlaw who will be back-up goalie to McGurn.
  21. Did anyone at the start of the season think we would challenge with that squad? Next season will indeed be a different ball game, but most teams will basically have squads that are jumbled together from last year. I cannot see Livingston and the Brechin/Ayr adding first division players from last season to their teams because of finances. I don't think we have much to worry about. Yes the squad will be smaller, buy I see no reason why the club can't at least challenge again next season.
