  1. U-20 SPFL West Dev League result Queen of the South - 1 East Kilbride FC - 3 McInally, Kidd & Bell on target for Kilby.️
  2. GARY RETURNS HOME TO BOOST STRIKING OPTIONS . 26-Oct-2017 East Kilbride FC is delighted to confirm that ex-striker Gary Graham has re-joined the club, after signing from Sauchie Juniors on Thursday night. The 22-year old, who netted 12 goals for Kilby in the inaugural Lowland League season of 2013/14, whilst on loan from Clyde, goes straight into gaffer Billy Stark’s squad which will travel to Selkirk on Saturday. Kilby Manager Stark commented, “Gary will strengthen our striking options and has looked lively from what I have seen so far. He has a pedigree of scoring goals in the Lowland League, so we are happy to have him on board” East Kilbride fans will fondly remember the front man claiming the only goal of the club’s first ever Lowland League victory in August 2013 against Whitehill Welfare in a 1-0 triumph, along with another memorable FOUR first-half goals against Selkirk at K-Park a few days later in a 4-1 win. Gary was also part of the EK team which won the South Challenge Cup in May 2014, Kilby’s first ever senior trophy, after a 2-0 win over Dalbeattie Star at Palmerston Park. Delighted to be back at K-Park, Gary told ekfc.co.uk, “When I heard there was a chance of returning to East Kilbride, I only had one thought in my mind, such was the level of enjoyment I experienced a here few years ago. The chance to work under Billy Stark, and assistant Craig Young for a second time, as part of an ambitious team is a challenge I really look forward to, and I can’t wait to get started.” Check out the links below from our EKFCtv channel on YouTube to see Gary in goal-scoring action for EK! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JulyxBgtVqo&list=PLr2CbOzUHBY8nmVDqLxmm2KuvTpeMwVld&index=21 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNwjrUhjy30&list=PLr2CbOzUHBY8nmVDqLxmm2KuvTpeMwVld&index=20
  3. Give the lad a break, he just wants to get picked for the national team.
  4. Lauchlan Stark? Sounds like a firm of solicitors?
  5. He's played a few games there and for me was pretty good. He wasn't a regular last season so is probably grateful to be getting a game in any position. He's always been really nice on the ball but in my view higher tempo matches tend to pass him by a bit (in the midfield).
  6. I wont lie it's the first thing I thought of when I heard they'd scored from the spot .
  7. Anyone have any details about what led to the penalty for Buckie's opener? Have just watched the youtube highlights package (which is pretty good) but that incident's not shown?
  8. I think that rather than push on from last season Cowdenbeath are unfortunately in an even worse position this time around although there's still plenty of time to resolve it.
  9. Albion Rovers at home? A home draw but a tough one. We'll have to produce a better performance that when we met at the start of this season!
  10. U-20 SPFL West Dev League result Ayr Utd - 2 East Kilbride FC - 2 Nathan Khanna and Liam Craig on target for EK
  11. I thought Dom was a good player, he just couldn't nail down a shirt. I assumed his best position is centre back and last year we were just so strong defensively with David Proctor and Craig Howie he didn't get much of a look in. This season he had a couple of games at right full back and was okay although it didn't look like his natural position. Was mentioning the fact on Saturday that I hadn't seen him in a few weeks but wasn't aware he had actually left the club?
  12. Not long back from a very good game against Edusport, final score EK 2 - 1 Edusport Academy. I was very impressed with the visitors. Their current league place coupled with last weeks 6-1 defeat had left me thinking that this shouldn't be too difficult a fixture but I thought they were a good team with some impressive players and I honestly wouldn't have begrudged them a draw. It was a fairly even match for the most part with Edusport missing a sitter at 0-0. Our opener was fortuitous in that it was a 30 second pinball in the box before Sean Winter stabbed it home. EA's equaliser was a gift after BJ Coll made a poor decision passing the ball back but into the path of two Edu players. At no point did the visitors look like they were content with a point and the game swung back and forward before a fine headed winner from young Michael Anderson. Adam Strachan was a stand out for the home side which is not unusual and came close to scoring a worldy after outfoxing 3 players on the wing and 2 more in the box before seeing his shot turned wide by the keeper. Six points from two games in 4 days keeps us very much in the hunt.
  13. A 3-0 victory at home to Civil Service Strollers tonight. A first win in 3 but not quite as comfortable as the scoreline might suggest. We definitely started much better than we have in the last few I've seen with a lot more movement off the ball and a bit more bite in the tackle. We controlled the first half and I don't think Kean had a shot to save but in the second it was much more end to end with CSS missing a great one on one chance with the score at 2-0. Great performances from McBride playing as a sweeper, young Gavin Millar and Ross McNeil with a hat-trick. Oh yes and 4 yellow cards but only one for any kind of tackle!!
  14. Wow...on paper yesterday's 1-1 draw away to Edinburgh University could be considered an even bigger shock than last weeks 5-0 humbling by ES. I wasn't at the game and don't know if the score reflected our performance but it's not a result you'd expect from a team hoping to compete for the league title. For anyone who backed us to retain our title I wouldn't go spending the money just yet. On a cheerier note, it's good to see our U-18 development squad get back to winning ways with a 4-1 over Celtic BC. Scorers were McBrearty (2), Beattie and Devlin.

  17. Didn't realise the OF were playing today but I know a few guys who were away due to it being the September weekend. As to the match....OOFT!! Well beaten on the day. ES won the midfield battle hands down and even before young Anderson took a sore one he hadn't made any impact. Bringing on the more experienced McBride didn't change anything in that area. Overall I was really impressed with Grant and Greene (4 & 5?). They looked a wee bit shaky at first but as the game went on they stuck to their task brilliantly. They gave Campbell very little and whenever we got around the outside it was more often than not one of those two making a block or clearing it. I only remember the away keeper making one save which was a very good one that kept the score at 2-0. Sludden's finish for the third was excellent and the pick of the bunch for me. Rodgers looked a bit heavier than last season but with the ball at his feet still has plenty of quality. It's hard to believe ES were 11th (16 points behind BSC) going into to today's game and they seemed to bring a fraction of the support that came through last time although I guess that's because K Park doesn't hold much attraction for them as an away ground? It was clear from their celebrations how much this meant to some of their players and will be interesting to see if this is the start of a long unbeaten run that can put them back in contention for the title. As for us we still seem no closer to replacing the goal threat Victoria gave us last season and look promising in the first two thirds of the pitch but much less so where it matters in the final one. Edinburgh Uni away next, hopefully we don't get schooled again.
