Superb although not sure if he meant a single one of them. -
The Famous Aberdeen - Season 2022/23

He'd never really impressed me much although having seen Aberdeen a few times in the second half of this season I would agree that alongside Shinnie he's been a standout. -
The Famous Aberdeen - Season 2022/23
The_Judge replied to a topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Well done to Aberdeen clinching second place in what has been the real competition this season. Securing their first victory at Celtic Park since October 2004, ending a run of 25 straight league defeats at that ground. Derek McInnes deserves a lot of respect for what he has managed to achieve over the course of the last 5 seasons. -
Heart breaking news.

I think he will, and I think he should, stay at Celtic for at least another three seasons.

https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/local-sport/east-kilbride-fc-candidates-spfl-12501834 East Kilbride FC: Candidates with SPFL experience apply for vacant manager's job After Billy Stark's resignation, the Lowland League side aim to appoint a successor by the end of the month. Candidates with Scottish Professional Football League experience have applied for the vacant manager’s job at East Kilbride, following Billy Stark’s shock resignation last week. The former Celtic and Aberdeen star left Kilby stunned last Tuesday when he announced his departure — just hours after the Lowland League club had insisted he would be staying on for the 2018/19 season. Stark, who managed Scotland’s Under-21s for six years, is returning to the SFA to take on the role of Under-19s boss at Hampden. He replaces Donald Park, who stepped down on Friday. It leaves EK searching for their fifth manager in five years and the East Kilbride News understands the job has attracted applications from former players and managers who have served in the SPFL, where Kilby aspire to play their football. Former St Johnstone and Morton striker Peter MacDonald, co-interim manager at Clyde last season, is understood to have thrown his hat into the ring. The Stirling Albion player applied for the role last year when Stark was appointed. The position has also interested another former Bully Wee boss, Jim Chapman. Ex-Berwick and Stenhousemuir gaffer John Coughlin, who had a short stint in the Lowland League with Selkirk this season, is believed to be putting himself forward. It is understood a handful of Junior managers have already applied for the role, but EK will be looking for someone with experience to reclaim the title after a disappointing season. The deadline for applications closes on Friday, May 18 as Kilby seek to make a swift appointment. A spokesman for East Kilbride said: “The club can confirm that the search for a new first-team manager is underway, with several applications received in the last week, and more expected before next Friday’s closing date. “A shortlist of candidates will then be drawn up for interview, but in the meantime the club will not speculate further. “After last week’s announcement that Billy Stark will be leaving his role, the football department at the club will now also start discussions with existing and prospective new players in order to ensure the incoming manager has a very strong core group of players which can be added to over the summer.” Meanwhile, Kieran Gibbons, East Kilbride’s player of the year for the past two seasons, is understood to be attracting interest from League One outfit Airdrieonians. David Proctor last week took up a coaching role with the Diamonds after serving as a player/coach at EK and Gibbons is on Airdrie’s radar.

Feels like it's been that way most of the season. The McInnes thing was an absolute nightmare. -

A cracking player for EK. When he started coaching with us he saw a lot less game time and I felt we really missed him.

The Terrible Journalism & Tom English Thread

I've met loads of religiously intolerant people that don't even follow football although they're happy to align themselves to a club to try to justify it. The notion that no Celtic or Rangers would transform them into normal, tolerant citizens is something I'd have to dismiss out of hand. -
Cest La Vie. I enjoyed having someone as high profile as Billy Stark at K-Park but it doesn't surprise me if he's received a better offer. At this level few, if any, are irreplaceable the difficulty is finding the right replacement quickly.

Playing teams four times a season (excluding cups) at double the current cost is unappealing to me.

We were 3-2 up in that match with Edusport and missed a penalty in the 70th minute. Edusport got their equaliser in stoppage time! Felt at the time that it could come back to haunt us.

Above is my post from the home game against Edinburgh Uni. Certainly wasn't fitness that cost us on that occasion.

I've really enjoyed watching Adam at K Park. On his day he is close to unplayable and from day one it was clear that he'd played at a higher level. It was not uncommon to see teams doubling up on him. That said, he's not perfect. He can often become frustrated to the detriment of his own game and sometimes his team mates. It's crossed my mind before that it might be hard to play in the same team as him e.g. If he plays the wrong pass it's always your fault for not reading it and he'll be very quick to tell you so (and not in a constructive way). That kind of aggressive, egotistical behaviour is sometimes classed, wrongly, as honesty and I think it would be tough for some young players to handle but he's right in saying that how they deal with it will probably have a bearing on how successful they end up. He'll be very difficult to replace and I'll miss him but everything changes and wherever he ends up their fans will get a guy capable of providing entertainment, drama and a smorgasbord of flicks and clever touches.
