  1. That's the place. Plenty of "wids" on their facebook page...
  2. I haven't heard the radio version so I can't comment on that but the film is very well done. It was directed by the same guy who made Downfall. If you're interested in the subject matter then it's well worth watching.
  3. 13 Minutes Subtitled German flick about the life of the guy behind a plot to kill Hitler. Heavy going at times but fairly interesting. 7/10
  4. I was there a few years ago. A beautiful place. It's like a High School geography class come to life. Fjords, Ox Bow lakes and all that other pish that bored you shitless when you were 13. As others have said, it's expensive as f**k and it doesn't help that the local coins are so puny that you don't give them the respect that they deserve. A tin of coke or a bar of chocolate costs about £2.50 but you don't realise at the because you're handing over what seems to be a pile of coppers. I didn't venture far beyond Oslo but it was still well worth a visit.
  5. The ugliest fucking thing ive ever seen was a Devils Coach Horse. It had to fucking die...

  7. Slow West A young Scottish guy goes to the wild west in search of his lost love. 8/10
  8. The Connection Very good French gangster flick about the same heroin smuggling racket that inspired the '70s Hollywood effort The French Connection. This is slick, stylish and violent. If you like stuff like Goodfellas or Carlito's Way and you don't mind reading subtitles then you should enjoy this. 8/10
  9. I watched it for the first time a few months ago. It was pretty corny but I enjoyed it all the same. I'd love to drive around in one of those trucks.
  10. This is what a night out in Montrose is like...
  11. Downtown '81 A bit of a strange one this, made in 1981 but not actually released until 2000, this is a day in the life of the artist Jean Michel Basquiat. No real plot as such, he just wanders around the arty farty scene in New York checking out graffiti artists, rappers and punk bands. Very low budget and some of the acting is pretty poor though it's kinda hip and I enjoyed it. I wouldn't particularly recommend it though as it's probably too avant garde and out there for most people. 6/10
