The chips & curry sauce was superb.

To be fair to the diddy Currie, despite him getting quite a weak hand to McDonald's shot, he probably expected the man on the post to still be there to clear.

Team selection will be interesting for this one with the subs having made such a good impact on Saturday. Think it'll be same again though minus Kennedy replacing Hendji. Very refreshing though knowing players like Roberts and Allan can come on rather than Nicoll and Tade.

It's easy to remember just our goals but some of our passing moves for other chances were really good watching it back again. And Allans disallowed goal looks nowhere near offside.

Anyone here been to Kendal Town?

It was the easiest decision the ref had tbh. The angle on the highlights doesn't fully show it but it was a blatant shove. Said at the time that if we score this I'd be absolutely furious with the stupidity of the player if I was a Clyde fan/player. Counted for nothing in the end of course.
I said at the game that if that penalty goes in there's a good chance we go on to lose never mind only take a point. For some reason Neil Parry has taken a fair bit of stick since joining us so was delighted to see him make that save and have as big a contribution to win as the outfield players.
It's a superb start to the season but only a start. Peterhead have had a dismal start and although every game presents a different challenge, you'd be disappointed if we don't have 6 points from 6 by Saturday evening. Danny will have some job picking the team for this after such a good impact from the subs at QoS.

Steady on. It's a clear red but I don't even think both feet were off the ground. It probably won't even be the worst tackle we'll see this season.
It wouldn't even have been the worst tackle yesterday if we still had Kevin Nicoll!
That prompted me to have a look at our line-up from last seasons opening day (0-3 v Dumbarton) for comparison. Balatoni and Rumsby
For all those who seemed to love Rumsby, they are going to shoot their load if they haven't already with us having proper centre backs now.

Paul McKay was a player who impressed me at Airdrie in midfield but he looked lost at centre back yesterday. Has he always played there for QOS?

I was surprised at how poor Harry Cochrane has become. He looked the real deal at Hearts as a 16 year old.

How does the opening goal stand in all time quickest goal at Palmerston? It must the quickest earliest goal in a league season at Palmerston. Anyone get a time on it?
I would guess about 20 seconds. I heard the whistle for kick off as I was approaching the turnstile and the cheer just as I was getting in.

We couldn't have done much better than Parry given the timing of Mitchell's exit. No keeper at this level is perfect but give me Parry over that donut in the opposition goal all day.

FTFY.The boy who got thrown out was allowed back in so couldn't have been that bad
That was absolutely unreal.

Any chance of Thicot being available for this one, I wonder? The thought of going into a meaningful game with only Cassidy for cover at centre half is harrowing.
Just a case of waiting in a queue I believe. I did notice a couple of Hibs and Aberdeens new signings got their permits this week so here's hoping that if he hasn't already, it won't be far away.

To add to my earlier post, I'm very glad he's signed for you guys and not Peterhead as I expect us and Peterhead (and Edinburgh) to be fighting it out down the bottom and signing McAllister would've given them an edge.

Not that it matters but could they play in the new kits with just the numbers if there was enough time to put them on? I don’t think you need to have the names on shirts In League 1? Or, if you’ve submitted a design to the SPFL does that include the names?
Eta I get that the names and numbers will be added at the same time. Just asking out of interest. We use squad numbers but no player names on jerseys. Just up to the club(s) really.

Montrose have impressed me the few years we've been back in this division and perhaps only really lacked a prolific striker to have them really up there challenging. Could be very good business this.

Aye Forres-Rangers was defo a Saturday 3pm. I convinced a Rangers supporting mate to come to Clyde-Nairn County with me the same day and he spent the whole game checking their score, moaning that they weren't sticking double figures past them.

Bob Harris was very raw at Clyde but went on to be a very good player. He definitely scored in that game but I can't remember it being a header.

Looking forward to the trip. My favourite away day by far back in the late noughties when we were both in the 2nd tier.
We couldn't ask for a tougher start, hope we don't continue the Cunningham lone striker experiment that we saw at Easter Road or Falkirk. I realise they're opposition we aren't expected to take anything against anyway but it'll still do us no favours and he'll be left chasing shadows.

Not taking anything away from Kennedy's good performance there but I'd definitely be looking to strengthen the left back area. Even this early in the season it seems quite telling that Danny chose to bring him on over Rodden.
