  1. Can't you read, or are you deliberately blind? One fan? Nearly all you lot on here are dissatisfied with McGlynn - YOU included, and Buchan30 by giving you a snot contradicts your post and himself.
  2. You're admitting that your expectations of McGlynn are high. You want rid of him not because you think he's a bad manager but because like the others on here you want to punish him for under performing. Bert Murray and Barry Smith didnt under achieve, they performed to their capabilities. If McGlynn leaves because of fan pressure I hope you get a manager of Murray or Smith's capabilities.
  3. But it won't be the same team - McGlynn can't be judged on the performance of teams he has had to scramble together and next season he should have a fit squad. OK three wins in 18 is an empirical fact, but it doesnt tell the whole story; we were the better team in most of these games and hardly got a break - the matches against Arbroath and ICT for example, and several others.
  4. We've an average goals loss of 1.23 per game this league campaign despite missing key defenders and DMs for long periods. According to you that could be enough for us to nose dive next season... Back to back away wins, without conceeding is "papering over the cracks". What cracks? You would have been happy with 6th but feel disappointed with 5th. Another of your DA Baracus type contradictions. And no credit given to McGlynn for the period for "where we were", instead it'll likely be a hangover if he stays. LIke several other McGlynn knockers on here you're irrational and one sided, but that post is a speciman.
  5. It's probably an understatement to say that we did well in the cups; but, in the league hardly anything ran for us. Surely we can't have so many injuries and lose so many cheap points next season. That's if McGlynn is still here - If he leaves I think we'll nose dive.
  6. Shower of useless bestards, I hope you rejoin your favourite rivals next season.
  7. WE've scored... now back to the original thread
  8. I would only favour Dunfermline playing against Falkirk, but somehow I feel strangely more inclined to them today....
  9. First things first. We need Dunfermline to get any sort of result tomorrw; if Partick beat them it's season over for us.
  10. Should we need points against Killie next week it will be easier now that they've little to play for, and they won't want to risk injuries before their summer holidays. 'Mon the Pars
  11. It seems nobody has much interested in this match: Accies are clearly playing better than Thistle so this is a tough fixture; a loss here and it's season over. Maybe we'll have a couple of players back, Berra hopefully. I'm going for a draw.
  12. I didn't think of that. I thought Accies were full time but apparently not - hybrid?
  13. I don't think there's much to argue against there, some players have been disappointing or inconsistent. The first mistake IMO was getting rid of Keiran McDonald who fitted perfectly with the way we want to play: We thought Dick was going to be a big signing but he hasbeen a bit meh. I think Varian is less effective than Gozie too, and scores fewer goals. Stanton, exactly what I think; as some have pointed out there's a suspicion that he isn't glad about playing for us. The whole forward line has been disappointing - we have been depending on midfielders and wingers for most of our goals. Despite some poor signings we've done well with others eg Ross and Stanton (notwithstanding what was said) which reveals a genuine intention to progress.
  14. For a club our size we have a very strong squad. Despite taht we've hardly been able to put out the first choice team all the time McGlynn has been here. Maybe next season we'll have more luck with injuries. We might also not draw or lose so many games we should have won. I think we'll do better next season.
  15. I'm not bothered about ICT, it's Colin Steven that puts my head in orbit...
  16. Actually I'm the opposite - I would love the opportunity to sort them out for once.
  17. Thistle have to play Dunfermline (who gave them a recent doing) and Ayr at Somerset; both are desperate for survival points so they can quite easily lose both games, in which case we would need a win and a draw in our games against Accies and Killie; If Partick draw one or both their games we would need two wins to qualify. If Partick win one of their two games or we lose one it's curtains. - the odds are against us but after Saturday it's all to play for.
  18. A Killie win, so that they have no need to over exert themselves in the event we need to get a result against them. Not just that, if we do make the play-offs I would rather Arbroath were in it than them.
  19. After the mauling Thistle got at EEP recently and with Dunfermline desperate for the points I'd make them favourites against Thistle next week. We're capable of beating Accies but it'll be another nip and tuck but we won there earlier. 'Mon the Rovers
  20. Predictably, the doom mob "McGlynn get tae feck" crowd are suddenly showing signs of becoming optimists...
