  1. Is this from the other side of the moon - Dick Campbell not signing Goodwillie highlights that he's a better manager than McGlynn
  2. QOS created the two best chances in the game whereas apart from our sclaffed goal we were shooting from distance, but I wouldn't say we were lucky as we dominated possession.
  3. Yes, the original Raith Rovers were from Cowdenbeath. Raith stretched from the west of Kirkcaldy past Lochgelly. There's a Cowdenbeath pub called the Raith Arms. There is still a large area of private land called Raith Estate between Kirkcaldy and Auchtertool.
  4. It's just about the only kind of goal we can score - from our point of view it was a stunnng strike.
  5. We were the better team in the last two league games against ICT - it's time to drop this "we'll never beat them" phobia. I fully expect we'll beat them on Saturday.
  6. Well done The Fife. You need to stay up for the big derbies next season against Kelty and Dunfermline...
  7. I like Dumfries, a very pleasant town and I've friends there. Football wise tho' I think the writing's on the wall for QOS and Dunfermline - whichever one manages the play-offs (it's hard to see anything better than 9th for either) is likely to face Airdrie. Not a good prospect.
  8. We were due a break against them.. and Inverness next week
  9. We've a habit of losing a goal right after half time or in the last couple of minutes
  10. Today as to be a turning point - more effort, concentration, nous, - and stop missing sitters.
  11. I think today will reveal whether the players have the will to play for the club/coaching team. It didn't look like it last week.
  12. Last week was a freak show, we missed easier chances - and more of them - than Ayr scored. The 3-0 at Killie was another misleading scoreline - two down at the start and they score against the run of play in the second half. Scorelines don't tell the whole story - ask Red Star. It won't happen today.
  13. Oh yes it would... The club has done far too much posturing and appeasing the phoney moralists like you, and is much worse off for it.
  14. I agree with all that except the last paragraph. On play we have merited more points than we got from this long winless streak. I don't think QOS will beat us easily, I don't think they'll beat us at all - but we'll see.
