  1. We have a few options in the striking department, but none of them are anywhere near close to scoring enough goals that will hopefully get us in with a chance of pushing for a European place, or top six if that’s more realistic.
  2. I reckon the club allowing young Sutherland to go out on loan to Alloa, would suggest they were pretty confident that there was a real shout of Van Veen signing on loan. Now that it’s not happened I expect to see Robbo explore the free agent market for another striker.
  3. Can’t help thinking had we got Van Veen on loan he would have joined a long list of strikers, who failed to reach the heights of scoring records at previous clubs. The system Robbo plays is not really suited to scoring a lot of goals unless Strain & Tanser are bang on it. Van Veen might have made a difference but we move on and see where we go with what we have.
  4. I doubt we have the budget left for such a signing, but the banter and meltdown from Motherwell fans would be priceless.
  5. There are some fabulous meltdowns on Twitter from Motherwell fans, at the possibility of Blair Spittal signing a PCA with St Mirren. Even allowing for the fact that it’s just a rumour, it’s still funny.
  6. I’ve just watched the Sky interview with that fuckwit Clemente. Having a rant about the pitch and coming away with some bizzare excuses. Playing to the gallery of bigot fans who will lap up that kind of trashing of other clubs who have a fraction of their resources. A clown of a man.
  7. Maybe a wee chance for LJ to come in and have a run in the team if he can play anywhere across the front three.
  8. Has Elvis had his say on this signing? All joking aside it’s bizarre to write off any player before they’ve kicked a ball.
  9. Still lives in Elderslie where his wife and kids are very happily settled. Just saying.
  10. How utterly depressing is Scottish football when the only slight chance the wee teams have against both arse cheeks, is when you have your strongest team on the pitch, they need to be right on the top of their game and the blue or green bigots need to be completely off it form wise. No wonder folk down the road think it’s a pub league. Both sectarian bigot clubs will never leave this league, its far too easy for them.
  11. SR should have started with Gogic in midfield to try and stop them playing, he would at least break up play in front of the defensive set up. Without Baccus Strain and OHara we’re far too lightweight in midfield. Flynn is done at this level and Boyd Munce just doesn’t do what Baccus does. The worst part for me is that we’re not competing for first and second balls, and allowed them two goals that were shockingly poor defensively.
  12. David Hay did manage to do one decent thing during his tenure. He signed Big Roy Aitken who was frankly a revelation amongst mostly a pile of dross signings. To put it mildly Hay was an unmitigated disaster for our club.
  13. Duk has to be one of the worst culprits for diving in Scotland. The boys a cheat.
  14. I’m looking forward to seeing that Dundee Utd poster, you know the sad b*****d who posts on every one of our threads when we lose.
  15. Our form is shocking and has been for too long, Robinson plays one way and doesn’t change the system. McInnes has proved in the past games v Killie that he’s got the measure of Robinsons tactic.I have no faith in this teams ability to get back in the game let alone score.
  16. It was a shocking penalty and sums up O’Hara this season. Sad to say he’s a passenger. Last season he was the the most important component in the team, captain leader, he dominated games and scored some cracking goals. For whatever reason he just flirts in and out of games making the odd contribution from time to time. But for the most part he’s a ghost from where he was last season. We need another midfielder in Jan and quite possibly move one of the strikers on to fund such a move. Lets hope he finds some confidence again and regains some form.
  17. That’s another very poor performance from us again. One or two players look like they need a rest/Dropped. O’Hara definitely needs to ride some pine, as he has been a ghost all season. As a game today it was a horrible watch with practically no decent passages of play and plenty stray passing. The penalty was a shocker and you have to wonder why he was allowed to take it, Given his ex team mate would have known where he was going with the penalty.
  18. That’s a good side lets hope we can get another win to keep us up in third.
  19. Now there is a list of detestable names I would not have wanted anywhere near the club. Hay did sign big Roy Aitken who was a shining light amongst some really terrible players. But his tenure was an unmitigated disaster.
  20. I agree with you on Taylor, he’s not the finished product but he’s such a good player and he’s making great progress with every passing game. Dunne to his credit had a nice steady game when he was introduced from the bench and stuck to basics. If only he could do this on a consistent basis, and cut out the inevitable f**k up.
  21. Glad to say the team proved me wrong today. That was much more like it. Young Stav and Ayunga will be a handful for most teams in this division, if they can continue with todays level of performance. We look a far better team with 2 up front. That could prove to be a big turning point in our season. All 3 points were a must after such a dismal run.
  22. I can’t really see where our next goal is coming from let alone any points. This team have just regressed and then hit the mother of all form slumps. Robinson had better get a reaction tomorrow because if it does end up in another defeat, the fans won’t be long in giving him some major stick.
