Nothing much going on in our own thread, where anything is mostly doom and gloom.

Well, we don’t have much positive to go by. Ageing player and the return of a dud. Horrible goalkeeping situation and interested in a 33 year old. That’s about all we have to go on. Oh, and CD is still manager.

I’m so bored I’ve taken to reading the threads for other teams, and finding pages about signings or potential signings. Our thread is dead and full of pessimism that is actually realism based on previous experience.

One has managed a top six finish and one hasn’t, ever, since the split began.

I thought I’d landed back in a discussion about Callum Davidson and St Johnstone. Similar to our season just ended. Initial success but then a rigid system, players out of position and so much to be unhappy about, it would seem.

I got an email about a survey on the OF situation. I support the other Saints. What will I answer?

Meanwhile at Hibs three stewards pounced on me demanding that I open my Hovis bread wrapper so they could see what was inside. Oddly enough it was a sandwich. I called them idiots and was warned by the head idiot that I might not get in to see the game.

I was thinking more in terms of a life changing move. Like the wage uplift Kerr and McCann got last summer.

I don’t see moving from Saints to Kilmarnock as any kind of progress, no disrespect intended. Money aside, what’s the attraction? Bigger wages in England than either of us will pay.

No disrespect to Danny, but I have to agree. We improved once he left and Rooney came in. Good player but definitely over rated.

You can add Jim Spence and Eric Nicholson to the apologists. No one can adequately defend what we’ve witnessed unfold this season.

Can you imagine if Steve Bright was on here or wap? He is infuriating. Pretentious. Condescending. Patronising. Talking down to fans for having an opinion contrary to his own. How dare you criticise CD, players or the club. And creator of the embarrassment that is supersaint.

That was a poor post. Comparing CD/SJ to AF/MU. The guy castigates anyone who says anything critical about CD. He scolds them for not accepting his point of view whilst rejecting theirs. What a weirdo. On the other hand, maybe he’s a wum. I always thought supersaint was an embarrassment. Sammy the Tammy was the goat.

St Mirren deserved winners today. Never in doubt from kick off.

If he won’t change, and I doubt he will, are you up for another season of negative, defensive football, a lack of goals devoid of any inspiration and entertainment?

This week will pass slowly but our respective fates will be closer in no time next Saturday. I’m not convinced we’re any better than your lot.

I feel your angst. I share it for my club. It’s infuriating.

We need to win to close the gap but CD will play his usual ultra defensive, looking for a 0-0, style all the way to penalties in the play off final. If you want Robinson out, we’re increasingly wanting Davidson out. Who will prevail in this battle of who hates their manager the most?

The way we set up and played in the first half was an insult to the tremendous support of the fans. That constant passing around the defence and punt was pathetic. Disgraceful. Spineless. Clueless. Aimless. Pointless. Pea hearted. We pulled it back with Rooney’s goal but reverted to the same first half garbage as if getting a point was some great achievement. CD may be our most successful manager but he isn’t out best ever - he isn’t even a good manager. Tactics, substitutions, loyalty to a system and certain players, all negatives. He has to go. We can’t defend our way to premier league survival or championship promotion next year. And we can’t keep watching this dreadful formation, lack of goals and lack of entertainment. Thank goodness for the FCU.

Tam, I’m so desperate to see some actual football I’m off to Kilmarnock this evening. Away end obviously. Wearing our maroon away shirt from a few seasons back.
