  1. It’s just so short sighted. Imagine we were going to play East Fife and they put the prices up, everyone would be annoyed. I fully understand it’s within the board’s remit to change the prices, but they seem to have failed to understand that it’s within Dunfermline fans’ to say ‘f**k you’.
No they haven't, they specifically said its up to Pars fans if they decide to pay or not, in a "like it or lump it" type reply I've seen.

If you want this nipped in the bud, stand firm and don't be tempted to get the credit card out.
  2. That's great and again is commendable. Was never made clear that would be the case for RRFC.

I have paid for every away stream too, no matter how shit the quality has been on the basis that it was helping out the other team during this crisis - some of these games I wouldn’t have attended under normal circumstances. The principle that the money I earn is worth less than, for example, a QOTS fan is what is going to deny you revenue here. I’ll get my updates from the web.
  3. That's your opinion though, and it's one I personally have, but not everybody will feel the same.
A season ticket isn't a charitable donation, its a product and is meant to give the customer value over and above paying standard walk up prices. The club need people to fork up hundreds of pounds upfront every summer, and I personally don't think it would be a good look if it ended up that season ticket holders were out of pocket vs walk up fans. Bearing in mind people were asked to fork up £200 quid upfront after raising £100k during the Spring and Summer.
That assumes fans won't be back this season of course and every game will be behind closed doors, but that is a possibility.
Tiered pricing happens all the time in football, however the club should have made this clearer at the start of the season. Or adjusted the relevant pricing at the outset to reflect this. At best it's a bit of a haphazard approach, and at worst it's just profiteering. Neither personality bother me and certainly won't if Dunfermline return the favour, but this is something that could have been handled better.

A season ticket WAS a charitable donation in the case of Dunfermline Athletic fans who accepted that it WOULD be cheaper to buy PPV on a pay as you go basis but bought the ticket anyway. That’s how I treated it.
  4. No they don’t. I’m a season ticket holder and I’m happy enough for the club to get the money. I don’t want a rebate or anything cause I’m a superfan.
For me, £10 to £12 for punters was about right. More than that seems expensive.
Total agreement. I paid my full season ticket price in knowledge it would likely be PPV all season. What I don't like is being fleeced. I would write to my own club objecting if they implemented this sort of nonsense.
  5. Not seen any other clubs doing this so far. Hearts £18.50 is across the board and they are providing more angles and possibly a more professional production than the others. I might even buy that on the basis that they are being fair.

There is no limit of tickets you can sell where if you could fill your allocation you could justify as likely to be oversubscribed. There are two derbys at Starks this season and one at East End due to the shortened season. How does that square? Can't see our club doing something this scummy.

Not calling for boycott, simply voting with my feet/credit card.

If a visiting club has a larger support the PPV price should go down, not up, due to bulk buying your product. Cost is same to produce. Raith Rovers have made a really daft decision here. It doesn't "add value" to a season ticket either, that's absolute nonsense as you are getting the same product for the price you paid and its not a commodity that you can sell.

It’s surely not that uncommon to haves tiered pricing? A lot of teams do it now.
I’d imagine Dunfermline, Hearts and possibly Dundee games will be charged at £14. The rest will remain at £12. As said elsewhere it also adds value to the season ticket if we can’t get in games at any point.
It’s not like we’re only charging that for away fans, it’s the same price for Rovers fans. Don’t get me wrong I’d be annoyed if it was the other way around and may think twice before buying but it’s easily justifiable by the club.
  6. What a fine away day in the cup this would have been. Train up with a bottle of the finest first thing on a brisk Saturday morning. God I miss it. Get this COVID to f**k rapid!

Such a lovely day too, Gayfield will be amazing as a sun trap today. Could have been basking in it as the sun set.

  7. Whe have the same one that's in Friday Night Dinner on our downstairs loo. On the hook, on the INSIDE of the door. It allows you to remember where you are as you sit on the throne and contemplate how you ended up there.

We have lived in our house for 17 years and the bathroom is where it has always been. Our teenage children have grown up in our house. Our house is not a B&B.
This appeared yesterday on the bathroom door  ...

  8. Buying the pack of eight Kellogg’s cereals.

    Number of issues...

    Expensive
Always a couple of ones that no one likes get left lying around
    Clutter
We don’t have wee kids anymore which this is aimed at so a pack is no longer a portion.

It does solve one issue though. Her inability to open cereal bags so that the end can be rolled up and stop the cereal losing crispness. Usually she tears it somehow which results in it being open to the air and ends up with cereal between the plastic and the cardboard.

  9. I would normally agree, but its not like they've not had the time to get the right equipment sorted out. They're a championship side that have been challenging for prem. Ayr fans, have previous streams been this bad?

Mines for some reason was automatically muted. However that was when the stream was up, mines now crashed.
There has to be some quality control with this, clubs charging 12 pound and it's an absolute shambles, going with the safe presumption that those paying it hopefully won't ask for a refund knowing clubs are struggling financially.
Got ifollow up watching Brentford V Middlesbrough on another T.V and it's absolutely faultless, smooth as you like, great camerawork, replays and reliable, that's for £10.
