I think I would have preferred to be able to binge 2 or 3 episodes at a time. At 30 mins each its a long wait for a short episode

Ayr United v Alloa Athletic
honestly united replied to ayrunitedfw's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
I think there will be a decent market for it - probably more so with the exiles like myself. I normally dont get to many games just due to the distance (wrexham has been the closest game for me in quite a while), however Wuffsters highlights have been a much watch every week, and would have been paying £6 a month for those if the club had been charging for them all this time. I think its a good move, as there is an untapped audience / support and any additional money into the club is surely a good thing -

I thought our stream this week was better quality than Dunfermlines, not hugely, but noticeably -

I think it was the home game vs Dundee that I remember thinking the pitch looked really bobbly ........as the ball bounced over someones foot and out for a throw after hitting a divit -

Thought we played ok without having a real cutting edge. Was it Walsh having the chance cleared off the line the Moffat putting a chance wide we could have won and on balance Dunfermiline didnt have ay better chances. Nbanda looks a good addition and we are just a centre forward away from looking decent* * mid table mediocrity -
I cant remember / dont think he specifically said Exeter, just on the one hand mentioned Skinner and SHC not being picked due to them having to go back to their club if not in the 23, but on the other he's selected Dell (3rd choice prop) McGuigan (doubt he will be in 23) and Craid (again last choice lock) who will be in the same boat. For me Skinner would be ideal on the bench as gives extra back row cover given both Gray and Cummings are fit enough to last the full 80 but dont think he would be first choice, and its madness only having 2 scrum halfs involved
-
On Skinner and SHC Toonie claiming that some players not selected as being based in England if they are not in the Match day 23 they would have to return to their clubs, so not ideal with the Covid bubbles etc however he has picked the likes of Dell, McGuigan, Craig who wont likely be in the 23. Maybe he thinks Exeter are a bit un-clean? Johnson and Hutchinson was lack of game time
-
GT has now selected 99 players for Scotland squads during his time in charge, and has so far capped 81 of those, and hopefully adds to that during the 6 Nations
-
Skinner, Johnson and Hutchinson the notable absentee's, along with only 2 scrum halfs - as there will undoubtedly be some Covid bubbles you would have thought 3 was a minimum or your asking for trouble. I agree we dont need big 8 and we are better with a mobile back row (ie Barclay at 8 a few years back) if you have a solid scrum, however if the scrum is struggling having a big 8 that can pick the ball at the back of a scrum, make a few yards and hold it up along the rest of the forwards to reset and be a focal point takes a lot of pressure off the team. Nothing worse than a scrum going backwards, and having an 8 the will lose you yards. Also its good to be able to alter the tactics

Im hoping that Kerr knows from his experience as a player that we have an "A" game that works well on good pitches of the fast flowing passing game, but as per every season under McCall as soon as winter hits we went to pieces as we didn't have a plan "B" So far Kerr has only really been in charge in winter and Im just hoping that he has been trying to implement this plan B, and as soon as we get back to decent pitches we revert back to our normal fast flowing game - otherwise the style of play that Kerr wants is extremely dull. It also doesn't seem to suit the players we have either - you get the feeling we are set up to play with a big target man yet dont play one / dont have one. You also get the impression with a lot of young managers they are driven by fear of losing rather than wanting to win. Last season we ground out wins in Inverness where most people said under McCall we would have lost, but I think the majority would prefer a much more attacking style. -
Quite an enjoyable game tonight, big change from the last one. I think we are well served at 9 & 10 with Dobie coming through and Thompson and Chamberlain actually giving us a few options. Makes a change from a few years ago when the choice was Dan Parks or Chris Patterson, we are now spoilt for choice with Russel, Hastings, Van der Walt and Weir as back up, and the 2 young lads coming through

Im 45 and granted not played in 2 years due to injury then Covid, but my heart and head says I will be back playing next year, my body though may have different idea's

Doing his best to not have to tackle Jones there

I wouldn't have been suprised if Gilchrist was properly broken from that

Glasgow scrum holding up much better today. Thompson already looks an upgrade on Thomson

I get the impression that Weir will suit the way Wilson wants to play
-
It sounds like another stand off will be signing also, Wilson stated yesterday he was after 2, one signing now, and the other for next season - Ian Keatley being let go would be a likely signing

Glasgow v Edinburgh re-arranged for this Saturday
-
One going to Edinburgh may balance things up, but saying that you need all 4 (and probably a 5th) in the squad as Price and Horne will be away with Scotland, and to cover injuries Edit to add Edinburgh sign up Lang and Young from Harlequins for next season. 2 decent signings, Young replacing Davidson, Lang is interesting as places Stand off and Centre
