This is quite cringeworthy to be honest, Ludo. He was the lowest paid player in the first team squad and was asked to take a pay cut. If that's true then how can you judge him for leaving? I don't get your comparison to others staying on after taking pay cuts either given that they would have been on more than him. He put his family first and I don't think anyone can question that.

Good appointment. I've heard all the stories of Hartley being a bully etc but he's arguably been our best manager of the last decade or so. His final season was awful but the two and half before that were very good. He'll do well at Falkirk IMO.

I would say things have got worse in that respect since Nelms etc came in. I work in children's services so it's an informed opinion.

The American owners are clearly here to make money and are piggybacking Dundee to achieve that. Doesn't sit well with me but then we don't own our stadium anyway. What are the positives for Dundee?

I remember when Craig Forsyth was a constant source of frustration for Dundee fans. Holt reminds a little bit of Forsyth at that stage of his career. Give the guy a chance to settle in. He's far far better than Willie Dyer.

Not a Luka fan either, offers nothing. Hemmings isn't a great footballer but he has that instict in front of goal and causes problems with his physicality. Luka has neither of these things.

Happy to see Irvine sign on for another year. Had a terrific season with his versatility being a real asset, in particular.

Gallagher is a tremendous signing. I thought we'd struggle to keep hold of him. Now he's at Livi. Mind f**k! But yeah, what a signing.

Houston would be a rubbish appointment. Did he not leave Dundee United because he felt the club would go backwards if they focussed on nurturing young talent? Certainly, there were stories of him being a bit of a bully. You also have to wonder why a man who won the Scottish Cup with Dundee United and achieved top six football has struggled to find a club.

Right move for him. Never saw him as manager material. I'm sure he'll do well as a coach.

Don't rate him tbh. Works hard but lacks almost everything you expect in a striker. That's based on watching him for Dundee in the SPL, so perhaps slightly harsh.
