Fix it at the point Joe Shaughnessy touches the ball as you would offside?
-
@FTOF is a tit tough, ignore him

Yeh, that’s what I’m wondering, unintended consequences and all that

Hibernian v St.Mirren - League Cup QF

I suspect that the side that finished today for is may start at Easter Road, possibly with Baccus instead of Kiltie in a 3 man midfield McMenamin, Olusanya and Kiltie will all make second half appearances -

You’ve taken that too far -
Yeh, same argument with the line moved but you would think should mean more goals? Or would it change how defences would operate?
-
To me, it should only be offside if all of the attacker is beyond the second last opponent. Surely we want more goals?

I took your advice and yeh, I actually now see he was offside. Kingsley literally does jump back in that split second and at the moment Boyd-Munce makes contact with the ball, Greive looks clearly offside to me. I take back my earlier comments!

I appreciate that it’s a split second later but the photos from behind the goal indicate that Kingsley was fully inside the 6 yard box while the TV still indicates that he only had one foot in the 6 yard box. The photos and the TV still don’t tie up, it’s very strange

I wouldn’t be surprised if the team that finished yesterday starts on Weds except with Baccus starting instead of Kiltie who played the whole 90 mins -
That’s us been on the wrong end of 3 farcical VAR decisions so far this season. Yet we’re undefeated and 2nd top of the league. I’m sure these VAR decisions will even themselves out and we’ll get the benefit sooner or later. Alex Greive would be the league’s top scorer this season but for these blunders - and he hasn’t even started a game yet.

Zach Hemming is up there now he isn’t just an upgrade on Carson, he’s an total upgrade i never rated Carson so I’m biased, but really, Carson wouldn’t have done that today even when hemming kicked it long and it went out, geat tactic! -
If you want to counter attack then surely you need the opposition to retain possession?

Nah, will be having more than a couple of pints If I was going down that route I’d just park in Glasgow and get a later train back from Edinburgh anyway -

I don’t like this tactic of moving Gogic into midfield late and putting Bolton into defence. That’s been done more than once Okay if there are injuries or someone on a booking but I don’t think it’s a good idea to muck the defence about unless totally necessary. -

Going to Easter Road next Weds on the train for a few beers in Edinburgh. Looking at timings of trains home, could be an issue if game goes to extra penalty and penalties? Last train to Paisley is at 12.15. Need to get train from Waverley at 10.45 to make that. Taking into account walk to the station, extra time and pens would mean no chance of making the the 10.45? Either leave early or Saints fans fighting for taxis back to Paisley? Any thoughts? -
Indeed, I go to every Saints game expecting to lose and for our rivals to win.

We’ll never know but it’s defo a what might have been Hay achieved most of his “success” at Celtic whereas McDonald achieved his success at Hearts (at least initially) on a shoestring. He signed guys like Jardine, Levein, Whittaker, Berry, Black, Clark & Colquhoun to compliment John Robertson and Gary Mackay. Genius signings. When Hay arrived, he had big money to spend and spent the majority on his ex Celtic chums, Aitken, Baillie, Reid & Elliot as well as Charnley. He failed to bring in a striker. He inherited a few decent players, Money, McWhirter, Black, McGowne, Martin (there’s a half decent defence right there), Lambert, Torfason, Shaw. even Stickroth &. Kinnaird. Indeed, Shaw turned out to be a half decent striker with Partick & Dundee and Hay gave him away as part of the Elliot / Charnley deal. He then had to sell Brian Martin to balance the books after signing Lex Baillie. What a disaster.
