I resigned myself to Jack going when he started flirting with Barnsley earlier this year so not overly bothered as it was inevitable. I'm far more concerned about the future of Kyle Magennis and Cammy Smith. Sunderland bound in my book, Kyle in particular. At least they are under contract.

Jack has obviously got comfortable with going to the championship. He probably sees that as a logical step otherwise why would he speak to two clubs now? He wouldn't be speaking to them unless he was comfortable moving his family as well. I said to my mates last season that the most important transfer this summer is keeping Jack as I couldn't see him staying. His stock is too high just now. If he goes, he goes with my best wishes and no ill will at all. I just hope it happens soon to allow us to replace quickly. Robbie Neilson will do me fine.

I really like Flynn. Hardly wastes a pass. Don't know if people were expecting a player with more flair? He's a bit like Davis in my opinion. Solid, a bit unspectacular but does so many things that go unnoticed.

Would there be an emotional pull for Hopkin? He seems the type that looks at the full picture and if there's turmoil behind the scenes I'd imagine he'd stay away.

The first game at the stadium v Killie was a sellout but attendence was only given as 7500 (from an c8000 capacity). I'm not sure if comps and/or hospitality guests are included in the figures though as there were no spare seats that day.

What a turnaround in both teams fortunes. I hope you all enjoyed the 2 (two) years you finished ahead of us. See you at the guard of honour game.
