  1. That article, from a Chelsea website may I add completely throws out everything people on here have said about him. Great talent/finisher, very hard working, physically superb and calls for him to get 1st team games. Random guys comments on here that he isn't 'physical enough' have been absolutely ridiculous you can tell he's never watched him.
  2. I would actually agree with you on that, although I think those silly votes who find Team GB cool will be cancelled out by silly votes of youngsters of the Braveheart mentality. School votes will be 50/50 I think.
  3. So someone like McGeady is an exceptional talent/athlete? or how about Charlie Adam? Give Islam Feruz a google image search or actually watch some of his goals and come back and tell me he isn't an athlete. And like is have said in here, he clearly is a huge talent going by his statistics. Talk shite.
  4. Have you watched him? He's a stocky wee b*****d, seen him a few times and he easily held his own! How physical do you have to be in England like? Look at someone like Adnan Januzaj!?! He's like a Bairn physically, plenty more like that in the EPL too, your talking out yer hoop bud!
  5. Islam Feruz was born on September 10, 1995 in Somali, Somalia. He joined Celtics youth setup, aged 10, after being discovered by coach John Simpson playing in a kick-about at the Castlemilk sports centre. The youngster had a troubled start to life in the UK. Initially his family left their home country because of violence and fled to Glasgow via Yemen and London, but after a few years in Scotland they were threatened with deportation. Feruzs family were able to stay in the country after a personal plea from late Celtic legend Tommy Burns. He went on to spend the majority of his childhood in Scotland and declared his allegiance to the country, representing them at Under-17 and Under-19 level. A notable highlight was his hat-trick against Switzerland in Scotlands 4-3 win in October 2012, before he became the Under-21s youngest ever player at the age of 16. Like a lot of youth transfers there was some controversy surrounding Feruz's move to Chelsea. After rejecting professional terms at Celtic, he was able to move to the Blues for only £300,000 compensation because of a flaw in the legal system. At the time, it was reported that Feruz had signed a contract worth £2,500 a week. Feruz was widely talked about in coaching circles prior to his Chelsea move the club beat a host of other Premier League clubs to his signature. 2012 brought Feruz his first taste of success in England, as he played centre-forward in the Youth Cup-winning side. He scored two goals in the FA Youth Cup first leg in April of that year as Chelsea won the trophy for the second time in three years. He continued to improve in 2013 as he finished the NextGen series as the joint top-scorer of the tournament, bagging seven goals and scoring against the likes of Barcelona, Juventus and Arsenal. Feruz is regarded as one of the best young players in the country. Jose Mourinho is a big fan and included him in the first team squad for their pre-season tour of Asia. Feruz signed a new deal at Stamford Bridge, tying himself to the club until 2018. Rumours of a loan move have surfaced, but with Chelsea's strikers misfiring for the majority of the season (apart from the recent mini revival) the 5ft 4in pacy striker could even find some minutes in the first team before the season is out. Most recent article I could find on him from the 29th January 2014.
  6. Apologies, thought his birthday was January for some reason. Still 18 years old and 6 months, hardly past it in regards to becoming a top player. Ronaldo had played 25 games for Sporting Lisbon, but like I was trying to say they are nowhere near the same level as Chelsea. And no it's not? It's saying to look at where other EPL players were at the same time in their careers. To put a cap on when a player can't become a top player at 18 is just ridiculous, Bale was shite for a while at Spurs. And Chelsea knocked back loan offers for him. It's the club he finds himself at, not his ability as to why he isn't getting game time or breaking into the team. To say he isn't going to be a top player because he isn't getting a game for Chelsea at the moment is daft, and to the person who said he wouldn't even get an appearance in the EPL that is just an absolutely ridiculous thing to suggest at this stage in his career. I hope he gets a move and a chance. 1st time I saw him as a 14 year old in the Victory Shield you just knew he had the potential to go very far in the game.
  7. And if Feruz was at Celtic still he would have made his first team debut ages ago aswell.
  8. What a lot of nonsense, he has just turned 18, and I was replying to the point that he will be lucky to ever play an EPL game, like I said look at Scottish players in the EPL, how many of them had broken into the 1st team proper at SPL clubs never mind one of the worlds biggest? Like I said Snoddy was playing for Stirling Albion..... Feruz is playing for a side who can realistically buy anyone and that demands instant success, of course its a monumental task to break into that team at such a young age, Ronaldo made his debut at the same level for Manchester United 3 months away from his 19th birthday.... not saying he will be as good as him at all but what I am saying is you have to take things and look at them in perspective. Feruz is probably at the worst club for bringing youth through, look at Gallagher, Barkley (although hes much older) Bentaleb, Sterling, Sanogo off of the top of my head all getting chances in other EPL sides. And as has been pointed out Championship sides were wanting him when he was only 17 and Chelsea refused, for whatever reason. To say he will never play an EPL game is outrageous though especially when you look at some of the players who play in it at the moment week in week out, wonder where alot of them were when they had just turned 18 years old.
  9. I see I worded it wrongly, my mistake, administration brings the points deduction? And for what its worth I do hate the fact that this could happen as there are a lot of decent Rangers fans out there who have been taken the piss out of, but the fact that there is also so many idiots who wished our game went corrupt becuase there club was and the way Rangers have handled thereselves whilst being in the lower leagues will soften the blow, farce from start to finish!
  10. I had a bet on with my Rangers supporting pal on at the start of the season, £20 they would drop 25 points or more (which wont happen unless liquidation) and £20 they would not reach the semi finals of the Scottish/League Cup (which they achieved due to the shite draw) so I am currently £40 down (although not as skint as The Rangers) What are the chances percentage wise of liquidation and them losing 25 points, guesstimates here?? like we talking 80 percent it wont happen to 20 it will or what? Help would be appreciated
  11. You base this on? For someone that has only recently turned 18 to be scoring the amount of goals he has in the under 21s league and Next Gen (kiddy champs league) is no bad going at all, you are absolutely daft to say that to be honest, I mean Robert Snodgrass was playing for Stirling at that age!! Look at the Scottish boys playing there now aswell, how many were 17/18 and playing for first teams in Scotland? Never mind one of the biggest teams on the planet!
  12. How do you bookmark things? Loving your confidence here. Be amazing seeing reactions from NO voters who are 100 percent sure that this will be a walk in the park if a YES vote is acheived.
  13. Not a poll as such but a mock referendum at Dundee and Angus College returned 83% YES and 17% NO, pleasing, thought that the college had a fair amount of numpties in it but obviously not...
  14. Hope it's a pie eating contest, wee Eck would fucking cruise it
  15. Ohh yes because Forfar is such a backward, hick place. God knows how I manage to cope when I travel through to Glasgow every other weekend eh seeing as I am from Arbroath.. speak shite H_B pal.
  16. And are you sure about that aye? That dead tricky Forfar accent that no one can pick up eh.........
  17. I have more in common with someone from Glasgow than I do than say someone from Southampton, we are both Scottish. And there is about 40 fisherman in Arbroath these days, how stereotypical, im appalled
  18. Yeah I can sort of see that but what does that really have to do with anything? I loved last nights episode, the new character the scientist one or whatever has become a very decent one in my opinion. burst out in tears for some reason when he said that line to the girl Glenn was with before the tunnel shannanigans. Youre hot.....
  19. Basically, just scroll past anything he writes and you'll be fine. I used to read it, until I realised everything was genuinely, absolute, pish.
  20. I don't know what in your opinion is the least shit one so can you clarify if it's a YES or a NO from you? This should be good...
  21. Ad Lib, what way are you voting again?
  22. No I think it shows what a lot of shite the polls actually are. Anyone that reads too much into them is being silly.
  23. How do you do a spoiler on here? Heard a pretty convincing rumour about how next season starts, sounds goooood! Last nights one was good I thought.
  24. The boy is an absolute clown, don't even try speaking to him. Will get you nowhere!
