  1. As others say , inside the Sagrada Familia is fantastic.

The parc guell can be seen mostly from outside but to get there definitely get a bus , the street that that leads to the top I went up was the longest steepest streets I've ever walked , think Gardner st in Glasgow and multiply it by about 4. Worth it for the views over the city , though.

Are you going to watch the rest of it ?

Definitely , itvx just hacked me off , I'll find it without ads somewhere I'm sure.

Incidentally , his denial of being the third man , in his living room in front of the press is apparently still used as a training tool by KGB according to MacIntyre

Have you tried STV player ?

The book is the truth ?

I asked another P&B er about it

The book left it to the reader's imagination ( I think ) as to whether MI6 let him defect rather than arrest him and go to trial. He definitely wasn't sent as a triple agent.

As a double agent he caused the death , capture and torture of countless British and American agents.

A Spy among Friends ,  Tokyo Vice

The book of A Spy Among friends is fantastic , watched the first episode on itvx and couldn't live with the amount of ad breaks and length of them , totally killed any tension.  Need to wait til it pops up somewhere else.

  5. First single I bought was Do Nothing by The Specials , them and Madness were my favourite bands when I was younger.

The Too Much , Too Young EP was a staple , especially Longshot kick the bucket. RIP Terry.

I like it.  Was the Earth the one you wanted?  Every time I’ve checked the Swatch store in Edinburgh and Glasgow the only one available was the Sun (which I declined).

Yeah , I liked the mission on earth one since release , they had 6 different types yesterday and the sales person said had full stock in morning. Didn't have Moon or Mercury , which I suspect are snapped up due to their likeness to the real deal.

Considering the Peaky Blinders way of dealing with history, you know they would take some liberties and have interesting music choices. Enjoyed it overall. I wonder if they'll try and do a second season?

Looking around on iPlayer found that there is a 3 part doc done back in 2017. Presented by Ben MacIntyre if you don't have the time to read the book. Includes some of the archival footage that was dotted through the show, as well as later in life interviews that were carried out previously.

Would definitely think a 2nd series would be on the cards. The operations they participated in after the finish of the first series were some of the most important of the regiments history , especially in France.

This will be the next piece for the collection. Seagull 1963 40 mm, issued to the Chinese military in early sixties, not totally true to the original, but same 80 year old movement. Comes on a green nato that looks good, but then I saw it on the milanese bracelet, think that clinched it.

Will post pics when I get my mits on it.

    Thank you.

Love the blued hands and whole colour scheme , seen a lot of difference in prices too. Also the movement is lovely to watch.

  10. Based on Ben MacIntyre's book about the founding of the SAS.

Made by Stephen Knight of Peaky Blinders.

First couple of episodes deal with David Stirling trying to get a new unit authorized and staffed , bit slow but gets better late episode 2 onwards. The music is an odd fit , a lot of punk anthems.

I liked the book and the series is quite good in a Boys Own type adventure.

  11. Just type into Twitter the following words " I quite enjoyed Rings Of Power especially the portrayal of a younger Galadriel" then sit back and watch as the two opposing sides accuse each other of being shills for Jeff Bezos and book w****r purists.
