The Ken Burns Vietnam documentary series is on PBS just now. It is well worth a look.
His Vietnam war and Civil war documentaries are excellent , I didn't really have an interest in the civil war at first , but , it was really engaging stuff.

Bit if a story behind this one. Ordered red and black version in the sale for £225 on 31 December using Xmas cash , showed up as delivery on the 6th January. On delivery day received an email to say the order was cancelled due to being out of stock. Called the helpline and asked if I could have the green version instead ( was chancing my arm that version never goes beyond the 25% off) was told they couldn't do that , just the 25% off deal they were doing online. Left a review on trustpilot then got a reply asking to contact them , then they agreed to give me the green one for the same amount , so happy with that.

That was absolutely tremendous.
As others said , the X-wing , the green sabre and the gloved hand...still didn't believe it was going to happen until the actual reveal. Great stuff.

I have problems getting my g-shock to charge at this time of year. I'll leave it on the window sill for a full day, within an hour or two of wearing it, it's flashing low.
Anybody use a LED charger for these? Artificial light doesn't seem to charge it at all.See above , mate . Leave it hanging over a lamp and artificial light will fully charge it.
Hung mine by the buckle inside the shade , two hours later it was full , light up by wrist flick working too.

The Terran parallel universe is getting a bit pantomime villainesque. Very 2 dimensional.

TV mostly for me this shitty year :
Norsemen (Netflix) if Vikings met The Office and Monty Python I think this would be the result. Off the wall comedy from Norway with some brilliant characters.
The Mandalorian : for me closer to the original trilogy than any of the follow on films , except perhaps , Rogue One.
A bounty hunter and his young friend Grogu fly all over the galaxy helping people and generally having adventures in very western looking settings. Some nice cameos and a good amount of interaction with the other Star wars franchises.

Couple of Vietnam war books recently.
Vietnam : An Epic Tragedy , 1945 - 1975 by Max Hastings
Chickenhawk by Robert Mason
Usual in-depth storytelling and detail from Max Hastings , starting with the fall of the French to the end of the American war with interviews from soldiers and politicians from all sides. Goes into great detail about how the South Vietnamese government did basically nothing for their own people , allowing the communists to spread propaganda and win over many of the people , especially away from the cities. 9/10
Chickenhawk is a biography of a helicopter pilot from training through to the end of his active duty tour of Vietnam with the first created fully airborne and airmobile regiment , the 1st Cavalry. Quite a narrow focus , but , still a good read . 7/10

Are they going for a Battlestar Galactica with the music angle ?
Finding this season all a bit worthy and overwrought.

great New York Irish gang film starring Sean Penn , Gary Oldman and Ed Harris.
An undercover cop returns to his old neighborhood and finds his loyalty to his job and his old mates clashing.
Oldman is fantastic as is the soundtrack , believe this was released around the same time as Goodfellas and got lost in its wake , but , definitely worth a watch.
Full movie available on YouTube.

Steeldive Captain Willard.
Went for waffle strap as bracelet gets a bad write up. Very decent watch for the money and got it from their UK store delivered in two days , slightly more expensive than Ali express , but , given taxes now applied , not much.
