  1. Knox signs up for another 2 and a half years and the club are I talks with other players to sign up for longer. http://livingstonfc.co.uk/knox-signs-contract-extension/ Who would you like to see signed up for next season? Pittman would be first on my list, he's been immense for us this season. Would give Buchanan at least another season too, he'll score a decent amount of goals in League One or the championship, reliable goal scorer. Think Byrne is worth a punt too, has looked good in recent games and if we go up to the Championship I think he would be decent there too. Mullen has stepped up at last and looks stronger on the ball, and if Carrick stays on form and continues to score he'd be worth a gamble. Hopefully Mullin and Cadden would be able to keep improving, having wingers has been refreshing this season. Not sure on our defence though, Longridge and Halkett have played at a higher level and are solid enough but would Lithgow and Crighton hack it if we gain promotion, continuity is always a good thing though, with a group of players familiar with one another to hit the ground running at the start of a season, we haven't had a lot of that in recent years.
  2. My wife uses me as a cure for insomnia, when she has trouble getting to sleep she just gets me talking about Livi and she dozes off in minutes.
  3. Wouldn't say Burchill was a failed manager, he won the Challenge cup as our manager and pulled off the great escape to avoid relegation on the last day of the season. Then had a transfer embargo stopping him from signing players in pre season and had to throw a team together a couple of weeks before the season started, he didn't really get a fair go at Livi with points deductions and a transfer embargo.. May well have kept us up but we'll never know.
  4. Remember this guy playing for Livi : http://thesetpieces.com/features/guillermo-amor-livingston/ Some player to have been at Livi, doubt we'll see anyone who has achieved as much as him signing for Livi again. Wonder if Iniesta or Xavi are interested in playing in League One.
  5. Was wanting him and Duckrell playing together at Livi, it would've been quite dtvine.
  6. He got banned from playing football not sent to prison. I'd have Gallagher back though, but I think Raith will be signing him.
  7. I see Mikey Miller's injury is a bad one and he may be out for the rest of the season with a medial ligament injury, hopefully it isn't as bad as they're thinking and he;s back playing soon. Squad wise we've got a few players covering that position, and it even gives both Mullin and Cadden a chance of starting as we usually only go with one of them. Watt & Sinclair have been used sparingly, maybe gives them a chance of getting into our starting 11. Though Pittman and Byrne played well against Airdrie and DeVita will prob still be ahead of them too.
  8. If the land was bought by a developer they'd build us another stadium to relocate us, the council would make money from the sale and we'd get a new smaller stadium, that was the plan anyway but it fell through a few times. Flynn made a few million from the sale of the niteclub though so even with the council owning the stadium he managed to make money out of it. We've been plagued by crooks taking over the club to try and make a few million from the sale of the stadium, they've tried to get the council to sell it to them, even the current owners have tried but got the knock back when they hadn't shown the council enough details to convince them it was a viable plan.
  9. Is that how much it costs Alloa, explains why you charge 16 quid patg for a league one game.
  10. Hopefully we win both. If we'd lost today though it maybe would've put some doubt in our players minds for when we play you in the league, I think this was an important win for us and should give us a psychological advantage in our next game against Airdrie.
  11. Was just messing after the assumption De Vita was on a big wage. As Andy said De Vita wasn't with a team and was desperate to get playing, same would be the case for McMillan if we sign him. Both will be looking for teams playing in the Premiership or top end of the Championship likely to gain promotion to the Premiership and playing for Livi will get them in the shop window so to speak. I doubt Airdrie or Livi can stay FT if we don't get promotion this season, just isn't enough money in League One to do that. The infrastructure at Livi with the stadium etc prob also makes it impossible to be PT, we really need a move to a smaller stadium to do that, costs too much playing there if we were PT, we can barely survive being FT playing there even in the Championship..
  12. How's Airdrie's finances this season with you going FT, must be paying your players big wages, how can you afford it?
  13. If he signs and scores a goal he has to do the going down on his knees and holding one nostril closed as he sniffs up the byeline goal celebration...............................or perhaps not, don't think that would go down well with the holy willies.
  14. According to this article Jordan McMillan has been training with Livi and may be offered a contract. http://www.deadlinenews.co.uk/2016/11/23/former-rangers-defender-revive-career-livingston-following-drugs-ban/ Would give us a proper RB if he signed and competition for the CB positions with Halkett being a CB being played at RB. Don't know how rusty he'd be after serving his ban but he's obv a class above this league so playing wise would be a good signing..
  15. No doubt, we need to build up a decent lead to absorb the obligatory points deduction when we make some off field feck up.
  16. Alloa draw with East Fife, good result for Livi. That's both Alloa and Brechin dropped points and we've got a game in hand against Stenny to play in December.
  17. There should be some sort of special award for a Livi manager if he goes a whole season without being punted.
  18. Main priority is to win League One and get back into the Championship, so far Hopkin is doing better than Bollan yet keeps getting calls for his sacking. Winning games, scoring lots of goals and being top of the league hasn't brought the fans back. Probably needs a few seasons of stability on and off the park to get some continuity going to build a decent team that is capable of promotion and staying in the Championship, sacking yet another manager isn't going to do that. Then maybe the fans will be tempted to come back.
  19. According to this article the SFA had a hearing on Thursday and suspended Lithgow for the East Fife game. http://www.deadlinenews.co.uk/2016/11/03/livingston-defender-alan-lithgow-hit-one-match-ban-following-sfa-hearing/ Confused by this; He's already served the 2 suspended matches, he didn't play against Albion Rovers in the league match that followed the Crusaders game and he had already served a suspension against Peterhead in the league before Crusaders, that's 2 matches. So this will be a 3 match suspension not 2, and they seem to think he's only served 1??? I think Livi need to get this clarified before Saturday. Can't see anything about it on the SFA website but it may not be updated till today.
  20. Well done to Jacko making it into the SPFL team of the week.
  21. Never good to play a team from your own division but entertainment wise it should be a good game with plenty of goals. Both Livi and Airdrie have a defence that leaks goals and players that score plenty too. Not far to travel either which suits me.
  22. Bit of a thick clown if he thinks we're a franchise, needs to look it up before making a tit of himself.
  23. Pretty sure Livi want to stay in the comp, we've had the chance earlier to field reserve players against Celtic colts but we didn't and took it seriously. Don't think Hopkin will be going over to lose this game. Would've been better had the SPFL either awarded the game to Crusaders or given us an 8k fine and let the result stand, would've drawn a line under it and 5 teams affected by this would know exactly where they stand, without having to wait till next Tues.
  24. Would think the players will be right up for it, wasn't their fault this happened, it was the Club's. Would think they'll be determined to win it again to get through to play TNS. Need to win to break even now with the 4k fine plus cost of expenses for a 2nd trip, nobody to blame but themselves though but the players and fans suffer, as usual. Do you think Lithgow will be ok to play, now he's served a two match suspension (Peterheid & Albion Rovers) ?
