Livi beat Stirling 2-0 in a closed door friendly at Forthbank yesterday. Hippo and Danny Mullen scored. Everyone getting 45 mins again as Burchill put out different players at HT.

Hope we've got the fog machine on stand by just in case things go badly.

Just b need to get you in the Scottish cup to make it the treble. We kept getting QoS last season too.

We've heard that before about Beany and White, Robertson got slagged to feck from fans of every team he'd played for but he did ok in the games he played for us last season. Think Sheerin needs to get fitter though or he will struggle to get in the team. He should learn a lot from Buchanan and Burchill so hopefully he'll be ok.

White and Buchanan should be our first choice pairing with Mullen being there when either of them dip in form, and as a sub to ush for a start. Sheerin will prob be behind Mullen but should also get sub appearances to push for a place. Reckon White will do better with the pressure off him as main striker, Buchanan will handle that no problem with his experience and White should pair up well with him. Also think it was a season too soon for Mullen to be put under so much pressure to score goals, though 2nd half of the season he did really well. He's always good for a wee soft penalty claim though.

An East Fife fan asked about him a couple of pages back as he thought they were signing him.

Buchanan got his first goal in a friendly against Stenny, 3 zip at HT, with Mullen and A Trialist getting the others. edit* Millen scored not Mullen, twitter got it wrong.

Gordon and Gallagher would've been awesome together, pity he's in the clink. I think Gordon will get named our Captain.

Or Raith Rovers, Alloa fans have been Livid. Reckon Rankine did have dual interest in Dumbarton too, between us we've dismantled the Alloa team.

Nah we finished safely in 8th mate and that was with a points deduction, won a cup too, what a fucking great team the amber machine are. Reckon Millen will be fine with Livi, can't be any worse than the full backs we've had that last few years playing in his position anyway. Dycey did ok in our last 5 games but he was far from great up to then and isn't the quickest either, got absolutely ripped against pacey wingers too.

Aye but it is that much of an honour for them to be playing for us, they don't mind a drop in wages signing for Livi.

Yeah you could see he was behind in match fitness/sharpness, didn't make any glaring mistakes though so a good pre season training behind him and should be ok. As Andy said can't really judge him in 2 games with the shit he had to deal with health wise and getting himself back to being able to play it couldn't have been easy.

Think he only played in two games near the end of the season, was ill with Septicaemia pre season then injured with an old injury from when he was at Hibs.

Can't take anyone for granted but come on, provided we go into it with the right attitude we should win comfortably. Berwick or Annan away would've been tricky, wouldn't have fancied us progressing past them.

He's on trial with them, he was with their youth team and not good enough, should tell them to feck off, but will be drawn to the money they're throwing about.

At least we wont be playing against him, good luck to the lad, will always have good memories of him playing for Livi.

I think Cole is better in midfield so would like to see another 2 CB's signed, doubt we'll get one as good as Gallagher though. Wonder if we'll sign a RB or go with Moffat, we've not really had a decent RB since MacKay and even he had a dodgy spell, when Massone wasn't paying him and the others he lost interest.

All the Jacobs have terrier like styles, Kyle will get stuck in and break up play in midfield. Keaghan is a bit more skilful and will drive forward in attack. Kyle also takes a mean penalty kick, nerves of stell for the one against QoS that kept us in the Championship.

Reckon Keaghan will be away too, seems keen to sign for a South African club. Will be strange not having a Jacobs playing in our team, they've been around for years. Even worse if Kyle will be playing against us for Queens.
